Kansas City cut Carter from its practice squad Wednesday.
Carter landed on the Chiefs' practice squad in September after missing the cut for the Falcons' initial 53-man roster for 2026, but now he's set to become a free agent again. Over seven games with Atlanta in 2025, he took nine carries for 60 yards, but he also lost a fumble.
