Elliott stopped 28 shots in regulation and overtime and all three shootout attempts he faced in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Wild.
The veteran netminder seemed comfortably headed for his second win of the season until he coughed up two goals in the final three minutes of the third period, sending the game to overtime. Fortunately for Elliott and the Bolts, he kept his cool and Steven Stamkos bailed him out with the only tally in the shootout. Elliott has only made three appearances so far for Tampa Bay, not a surprising workload for Andrei Vasilevskiy's backup, and his 3.30 GAA and .878 save percentage represent another step back from his mediocre performance during his last two seasons with the Flyers.
