Filip Chytil C | VAN
Canucks' Filip Chytil: Returning against Cats
Chytil (shoulder) will be in the lineup versus Florida on Thursday, Ben Kuzma of Postmedia reports.
Chytil hasn't appeared in an NHL game since Feb. 2 versus Utah due to his shoulder problem. With the 27-year-old Czech cleared to go, he figures to slot into the third-line center role while also linking up with the No. 2 power-play unit. In limited action last year, Chytil notched three goals and zero assists in 12 regular-season tilts.

Ridly Greig C | OTT
Senators' Ridly Greig: Set to play Thursday
Greig (strain) is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Islanders.
Greig missed the final frame of Tuesday's game against the Blues due to a strain, but he's expected to center the fourth line a few days later. Across his five appearances to begin the regular season, he's recorded no goals, an assist, six hits, six PIM and five blocked shots while averaging 16:33 of ice time.

Mavrik Bourque C | NSH
Predators' Mavrik Bourque: Game-time call against Sharks
Bourque (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's clash with San Jose, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.
Bourque is at risk of missing his third straight game due to his upper-body problem, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. Even if the 24-year-old center does get into the lineup, it figures to be in a bottom-six role where he will offer minimal fantasy upside.

Matyas Sapovaliv C | LV
Golden Knights' Matyas Sapovaliv: Tallies twice in Henderson's win
Sapovaliv scored two goals in AHL Henderson's 4-0 win over Coachella Valley on Wednesday.
Sapovaliv has three points over his first four games this season. He's added 11 shots on net and a minus-2 rating. Sapovaliv has yet to make his NHL debut, and he'll need to display consistent offense over a longer stretch to be in contention for a call-up.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Dishes two helpers in shootout loss
Kadri notched two assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Stars.
Kadri is still searching for his first goal of the season. He's supplied five assists, 20 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over seven outings while functioning primarily as a winger for the first time in his career. Kadri's increased positional versatility is a boost for his fantasy profile, but it would be good to see him cash in on some of his chances soon.
-
Brock Nelson C | COL
Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Buries goal Wednesday
Nelson scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Stars.
Nelson started the year with a three-point effort, but that's also what he's produced across the last six games combined. The veteran center has three goals, three helpers, 14 shots on net, six blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating across seven appearances. He remains in a second-line role, giving him a decent chance to contribute in any given game, but he's likely to be more of a supporting figure in the Avalanche's offense this year.

Alex Newhook C | MON
Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Produces two assists in loss
Newhook notched two assists and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Capitals.
Newhook earned his first multi-point effort of the season with this one. He's up to a goal, three helpers, eight shots on net, seven hits, six blocked shots and a minus-2 rating across seven outings. The 25-year-old was on his way to a breakout campaign last year before it got derailed by injuries. If he can produce around a 50-point pace this year, he'll be a decent depth forward in fantasy.
-
Nick Suzuki C | MON
Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Pots power-play goal
Suzuki scored a power-play goal on three shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Capitals.
Suzuki's tally got the Canadiens within a goal late in the third period, but they weren't able to tie it. The 27-year-old center is up to four goals, five assists, 20 shots, 11 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over seven contests this season. Remarkably, his goal Wednesday was his first power-play point of the campaign. Once he gets rolling with the man advantage, he'll be a true force on offense as he looks to repeat his 101-point regular season from last year.

Oskar Back C | DAL
Stars' Oskar Back: Leaves Wednesday's game
Back (upper body) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Avalanche.
It's not clear when Back sustained the injury, but he was missing from the Stars' bench in the second period. The forward can be considered day-to-day until the team provides an additional update. If Back can't play Saturday versus the Blackhawks, he could be replaced in the lineup by Wyatt Johnston (illness).

Nicolas Roy C | COL
Avalanche's Nicolas Roy: Out of action Wednesday
Roy (lower body) won't play Wednesday versus the Stars, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.
Roy was getting help from the trainers during the morning skate before Tuesday's game, and while he played in that one, he appears to need to step out of the lineup. The Avalanche are expected to dress seven defensemen to cover his absence Wednesday. Roy's next chance to play is Friday versus the Penguins.
