  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Not suiting up Sunday

Jankowski will not play in Calgary on Sunday due to a lower-body injury.

The Hurricanes' forward depth is certainly being tested early in the season, as Jankowski is now one of four forwards unavailable due to injury. The 32-year-old has been red hot lately, scoring a goal in six straight games. The severity of Jankowski's injury is unknown at this time, so he can be considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup in Vancouver.

  • Bruins' Michael Eyssimont: Another hat trick in AHL

Eyssimont scored three goals in AHL Providence's 6-1 win over Hershey on Sunday.

Eyssimont's skills have been on full display early in the AHL season. He has seven goals, one assist, 22 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over four appearances since he was sent down from Boston. Eyssimont could be a call-up option if Pavel Zacha (upper body) lands on injured reserve.

  • Maple Leafs' Vinni Lettieri: Called up Sunday

Lettieri was recalled from AHL Toronto on Sunday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.

Lettieri has gotten off to a hot start with AHL Toronto this year, recording three goals and six assists across his first five regular-season appearances. The 31-year-old hasn't made a regular-season appearance in the NHL since the 2024-25 campaign, but he'll now provide additional depth for the Maple Leafs.

  • Flyers' Jack Studnicka: Back to AHL

Studnicka was returned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday, according to the NHL media site.

Studnicka hasn't earned a point in three NHL appearances for Philadelphia this season. He has notched one goal and two assists in three AHL outings this campaign.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Notches helper in return

Kulich logged an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

Kulich has a goal, two assists, eight shots on net, seven hits and a plus-3 rating over seven appearances this season. He's battled an injury recently but is clear to play for now. Fantasy managers don't need to be glued to his status, as he hasn't produced enough to justify a roster spot in most standard formats.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Opens scoring in loss

Scheifele scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Scheifele's cold start is a distant memory now. He's earned all of his offense this season during a five-game point streak (two goals, six assists), getting up to speed with his productive linemates Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti. Scheifele has added 14 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over eight appearances in his usual top-line role.

  • Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Nets equalizer Saturday

Kotkaniemi scored a goal and added three hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

Kotkaniemi went nearly a full year between goals -- his last one prior to Saturday was Nov. 8, 2025 against the Sabres. The 26-year-old has gotten a chance to play regularly early in 2026-27, earning three points, five shots on net, 10 hits and four PIM over seven contests. He's still in a fourth-line role and will be prone to getting scratched once Seth Jarvis (shoulder) returns to the lineup.

  • Flyers' Sean Couturier: Dealing with injury

Couturier (undisclosed) didn't participate in Sunday's practice, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Couturier was banged up in Saturday's 3-1 win over Ottawa and could be a game-time decision against Colorado on Monday. He has contributed three assists, 11 shots on net and 18 hits in 10 appearances this season.

  • Blackhawks' Dominic Toninato: Sent to AHL

Toninato was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Toninato has no points, one shots, three hits and one block in three appearances with the Blackhawks this season. He also has a goal in one game with Rockford in 2026-27.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Held scoreless in return to lineup

Johnston fired five shots on net and added a hit in Saturday's 4-0 win over Chicago.

Making his return from a two-game absence due to an illness, Johnston was second on the Stars in shots behind Jason Robertson's seven, but he couldn't get one past Spencer Knight. Johnston is still looking for his first goal of 2026-27, picking up four assists in six games, but he should open his account soon enough after lighting the lamp 45 times in 82 regular-season contests last season.
