Jarry was the first goalie off during Thursday's morning skate, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Canadiens.

Thompson will defend the home goal versus Carolina on Thursday, according to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.

Thompson has been outstanding over his last six starts, going 5-0-1 with a 1.32 GAA and a .955 save percentage. The 28-year-old netminder is 13-6-2 with one shutout, a 1.96 GAA and a .925 save percentage over 21 starts this season. Merzlikins will get the starting nod at home versus the Senators on Thursday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

The 28-year-old goaltender has won just one of his last five appearances, going 1-2-1 with a 3.05 GAA and a subpar .883 save percentage in that span.
