Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Records assist in loss
McAvoy recorded a power-play assist, placed three shots on net, had two blocks and dished out two hits in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Edmonton.
McAvoy had a hand in Boston's lone goal of the game, which was netted by Pavel Zacha on a first-period power play. The apple brings McAvoy up to 16 assists, 33 shots on net, 30 hits and 40 blocks through 23 games this season. The power-play assist was the 27-year-old blueliner's second across four games since his return from a facial injury. When he's been in the lineup, McAvoy has performed well in each area of the game outside of finding the back of the net. He has already matched his assist output through 50 games a year ago and could be trending toward another 40-point season if he can stay healthy. The all-around play from Boston's top defenseman gives him strong value in nearly all fantasy formats moving forward.

Elias Lindholm C | BOS
Bruins' Elias Lindholm: Slides power-play helper Thursday
Lindholm distributed a power-play assist, put two shots on net and served 12 PIM in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Oilers.

Over his last 10 games, the 31-year-old center has 13 points, 13 shots on goal and eight blocks. When he's been healthy this season, he has heavily contributed to Boston's top six and has helped the Bruins reside in a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division for the majority of the past two weeks. Lindholm averages nearly one major stat per game, apart from goals, proving that he is an excellent fantasy option in category-based leagues. Barring injury, he is on pace to surpass the 47 points he totaled in 82 games in his first season with the Bruins.

With the apple, Nurse now has seven assists, 13 points, 77 shots on goal, 49 hits and 79 blocks through 35 games this season. While his contributions offensively have been inconsistent since the start of November, the 30-year-old defenseman has three points in his last five games to go along with his strong category coverage. He currently ranks sixth in the NHL in blocks, trailing Toronto's Jake McCabe by seven for the league lead.
