A lot happened on Sunday at East Lake Golf Club. The big names were not present but the big money was most definitely handed out.
Here's a look at everything if you missed it.
1. If you don't get Tiger, Rory or Phil: You could make the argument that if Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, or Phil Mickelson isn't going to win the year's last tournament then it's a crapshoot in terms of interest between a bunch of other guys...including Billy Horschel.
I'm not sure if folks realize it yet but the big-swaggin' "I'm gonna stare down No. 1 in the world on Sunday with $10 million on the line" is for real and he's a hell of a boon for the world of golf.
Gator chompin' on the 72nd green to a bunch of Georgia fans, the crazy Tour Sauce (see below) and a game to back all of it up?

Bring me all of that one. Good on him for going second, first, first to end the season.
2. High road for Rory: In his post-round interview, Rory McIlroy started to talk about how exhausted he was (and he definitely was) before throwing Horschel the credit he deserved. I thought that was big time, especially given their history.
Then he dropped this gem:
"There's a few guys I'm glad I'm not going to see at Glen Eagles: [Horschel], Ryan Palmer, Chris Kirk."
Yay!
3. Too much golf: I was laboring on Sunday to finish off my fourth weekend of golf in as many weeks (not really, but kind of), so I know these guys were feeling the effects.
It was visually evident, too:

McIlroy said he didn't even want to look at his clubs until the Ryder Cup next week. That has to change in the future.
4. Billy Horschel's dad has a boss mustache: Not sure what else needs to be said here other than I'm pretty sure Fluff left the premises out of utter shame.

5. Furyk-Fowler crossover: Jim Furyk and Rickie Fowler played together on Sunday. Here's a Venn diagram of Rickie Fowler and Jim Furyk fans I drew. I'll let you guess which is which.

6. I wouldn't hate a smaller tour: It will never happen, but I'm not against a tour that only lets in 60 or so golfers to every tournament. Almost every golfer in the last two tournaments of the playoffs was a big name and that combined with the shorter events made a much more enjoyable viewing experience. Maybe I'm alone in that, though.
7. Shade from Rovell: Sports business reporter Darren Rovell tossed some shade at Billy Horschel after Horschel netted $11.4 million.

Here's what Horschel likely thinks about pretty much everyone right now as he cashes that $11.4 million check:

8. No wins for Fowler (or Furyk): Rickie Fowler and Jim Furyk combined for 21 top-10 finishes this season with zero wins. Steven Bowditch, Camilo Villegas, Matt Jones and Angel Cabrera combined for four and all four of them were wins.
Golf is weird. Also, this fist pump from Fowler was awesome.
9. Let's talk about the Ryder Cup: I know it's been said a thousand times, but the fact that Horschel isn't going to Scotland is insane.
It would be like if an Olympic sprinter ran the fastest time in the world at an Olympic qualifying event before the Olympics but the judges said, "Well, this event is too close to when the Olympics start, so this doesn't count."
As NBC rolled its Ryder Cup promos on Sunday, all I could think about was Horschel wearing the loudest pants possible in a screaming match with Ian Poulter as a stunned Jim Furyk looked on at Gleneagles.
Also, this:
If you know anything about Horschel you know he certainly would have had the baby induced early to play in his first Ryder Cup.

10. Horschel certainly enjoyed the moment: With a kid on the way, the newly-minted $11.4 million man was feeling giddy about his win.
"From what I've heard, kids are very expensive, so the more money I can make, the better," said Horschel. "It's just unbelievable, everything that's happened the last two weeks, and especially having a kid on the way. I'm not sure life can be better than this."
He might be right.
