Can you imagine if you had bought badges for the Monday practice round and it was your first time ever at Augusta and then...this?
Augusta National gates officially closed for the remainder of the day. Badge holders will receive refunds and a guarantee of return in 2015.

The course closed down at around 10 AM Eastern because of thunderstorms in the area.
That's a huge bummer for those who made the journey to golf's epicenter but good on Augusta for handing out refunds as well as return badges for 2015.
Also, this stinks:
Just got word from the club that there will be no accessibility to merchandise tents Tuesday if you have Monday tickets.

Billy Payne, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, said the whole thing was a bit of a disappointment.
"We are disappointed that our patrons could not enjoy today’s practice round, however safety must be our first concern. We look forward to seeing these patrons next year."
The good news is that the weather looks great for the rest of the week.
I'm sure that's exactly what those Monday-only patrons want to hear.
