So, about that duck boat Jake Peavy bought last year...
Jake Peavy bought a duck boat after the Red Sox won the World Series last year. His son provided on update on its condition Monday.
After the Red Sox won the World Series last year, the team rode duck boats around Boston as part of the parade. A duck boat, if you're unfamiliar, is basically an amphibious bus you can drive on land or in water like a boat.

As you might remember, Jake Peavy purchased one of those duck boats following the World Series parade last year. It was quite the impulse buy.
Peavy's son Wyatt joined his father for his World Series press conference at Kauffman Stadium on Monday afternoon, and he gave an update on the family duck boat:
Peavy's son just said that the duck boat from last year is now covered in mildew and needs to be painted.

I'm not quite sure what one would do with a duck boat, but when you're like Peavy and you bank eight figures a year, you can afford to repaint that sucker every year until you figure it out.
