  • Pirates' Lolo Sanchez: Reassigned to minor-league camp

The Pirates reassigned Sanchez to minor-league camp Tuesday.

The move hardly comes as a surprise, as the 23-year-old outfield prospect has only reached Double-A ball so far in his career. In his 66 games with Double-A Altoona last season, Sanchez slashed .231/.343/.330 through 254 plate appearances with 24 RBI and seven stolen bases.

  • Pirates' Lolo Sanchez: Activated from injured list

Sanchez (undisclosed) was activated from Double-A Altoona's 7-day injured list Friday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Sanchez landed on the injured list in late June and has been cleared to rejoin Altoona's roster after a five-game rehab assignment with Pittsburgh's rookie-level affiliate in the Florida Complex League. The 23-year-old has a .252/.364/.368 slash line with four home runs, 19 RBI and six stolen bases in 47 games at Double-A this year.
