  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Homers, drives in winning run

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Wednesday's come-from-behind win over the White Sox.

Naylor's two-run shot off Erick Fedde in the bottom of the fourth brought the Guardians back to within two runs of Chicago and came just three at-bats after his older brother Josh's solo home run -- on National Siblings Day. The young catcher then played the role of hero in extra innings, driving home Tyler Freeman with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th as Cleveland improved to 9-3 on the season. Naylor is still batting just .194 following the two-hit performance, though he's now homered in two of his last six games. It also marked his third multi-hit game this month.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Absent from lineup

Naylor is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the White Sox.

Naylor had started each of the previous six games (four at catcher, two at designated hitter) but will take a seat Monday against left-handed opener Tanner Banks. He's a possibility to pinch hit at some point for Austin Hedges, who will do the catching for Triston McKenzie.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Launches first homer of 2024

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.

Naylor had his second consecutive multi-hit day Tuesday, highlighted by a two-run shot off Luis Castillo in the fourth inning. The backstop has rebounded nicely after going 0-for-6 in the Guardians' opening series against the A's. Naylor is expected to platoon with Austin Hedges behind the plate; however, Naylor could earn more looks at DH if he swings a hot bat.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Returns to bench Saturday

Naylor is not in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Athletics.

Naylor got the start at catcher Friday for Austin Hedges, but with Oakland sending out left-hander JP Sears for Saturday's contest, Hedges will return to the lineup and bat eighth.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Sitting Thursday

Naylor is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

The lefty-hitting Naylor will take a seat for Opening Day as southpaw Alex Wood takes the hill for Oakland. Austin Hedges will get the nod behind the plate in Naylor's stead.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Rejoins spring lineup

Naylor (back) will start at catcher and bat cleanup Wednesday in the Guardians' Cactus League game against the Brewers.

He'll crack the Cactus League lineup for just the second time this spring and the first time since Feb. 24 after back spasms kept him out of commission for about a week and a half. Provided he experiences no further setbacks with his back during camp, Naylor should be ready to handle the lion's share of the starts behind the dish by the time the regular season gets underway.
