WATCH: Markieff Morris, Paul Millsap exchange pleasantries before halftime
Forwards for the Wizards and Hawks had to be separated while debating a free throw violation
Just before the first half between the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks came to an end, Paul Millsap's accusation that Markieff Morris stepped over the line on a free throw nearly drew out a brawl between the two forwards who have been clawing back at one another all game.

Keef: "shut up."

The Wizards were down six points in the final Hawks possession but Millsap inexplicably fouled Morris on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, sending Morris to the line for three free throws he easily converted, despite the verbal exchange with Millsap, to give the Wizards a 3-point halftime deficit.
This isn't the first physical exchange between the two. They locked bodies with each other earlier in the game fighting for a loose ball as you can see in the photo below. The official call on the floor was a jump ball, but Millsap jumped up immediately in frustration after the Wizards, led by Morris, swarmed him on the floor.

If the strategy is to get in the head of one of the Hawks best players, it seems to be working.
