Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Won't start with Favors out
Roby will not start Tuesday's game against the Warriors, despite the absence of Derrick Favors (rest), Brandon Rahbar of Daily Thunder reports.
Coach Mark Daigneault will go with Jeremiah Robinson-Earl at center Tuesday, while noting that Mike Muscala will back up the rookie off the bench. This should probably be the final straw for managers still holding on to Roby after he played just 24 minutes across the Thunder's first two games before picking up a DNP-CD against Philly on Sunday.... Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Not starting vs. Sixers
Roby is not starting against Philadelphia on Sunday, according to Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman.
Derrick Favors is starting in place of Roby on Sunday. The latter logged an unimpressive stat line across his previous start at Houston on Friday. However, Roby recorded eight points and six rebounds as Favors' backup during their first game as teammates Wednesday.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: DNP in loss to Sixers
Roby did not see the floor in Sunday's loss to the 76ers.
Four starting spots look to be solidified in Oklahoma City, but the center position is far from decided. After coming off the bench behind Derrick Favors in the opener, Roby got the start Friday night at Houston, but he played only 10 minutes in the blowout loss. Favors was back in the starting five Sunday, seeing 19 minutes of action while rookie Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (14 minutes) got some run at the five off the bench. Roby will likely still be in the mix some nights, but after playing just 24 total minutes through three games, he's tough to justify rostering in most season-long leagues.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Plays just 10 minutes in spot start
Roby had just three points (1-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one rebound in 10 minutes during Friday's 124-91 loss to the Rockets.
Roby moved into the starting lineup Friday but barely saw the court after the first quarter. Based on what we have seen over the first two games, it will be a very long season for the Thunder, and fantasy value will be almost impossible to project from one game to the next. Roby is not a player to target in standard formats.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Starting vs. Rockets
Roby will start Friday against the Rockets, Rylan Stiles of BricktownBuckets.com reports.
Derrick Favors got the nod in the opener, but he'll come off the bench while Roby gets the start Friday. Last season, Roby saw 23.4 minutes per game and averaged 8.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 23.4 minutes.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Coming off bench Wednesday
Roby will come off the bench Wednesday against the Jazz, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
Roby was expected to open the season as Oklahoma City's starting center, but veteran Derrick Favors will instead receive the nod in the opener. However, the move partially appears to be due to the fact the game is at Utah, where Favors has spent most of his NBA career, per Rylan Stiles of BricktownBuckets.com. Roby could end up joining the starting five before long.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Goes through practice
Roby (knee) practiced Saturday, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
Roby sat out the second half of Thursday's preseason finale due to right knee soreness. However, the issue is apparently minor, and he should be expected to be available for the opener Wednesday against the Jazz.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Leaves early Thursday
Roby is out for the rest of Thursday's game against Denver due to right knee soreness, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
Roby likely picked up the injury during the first half of Thursday's preseason matchup. With almost a week off before the Thunder open the regular season at Utah next Wednesday, Roby should have plenty of time to regain full strength.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Not locked in as starting center
Roby will get the start at center to open the preseason Monday against Charlotte, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.
As expected, the third-year big man will get the nod at the five, while Darius Bazley, Josh Giddey, Luguentz Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fill out the rest of the lineup. Coach Mark Daigneault indicated that this could "possibly" be his regular-season starting lineup, though he did note that the center position "could be a little more fluid." That's not exactly the most encouraging news for Roby's fantasy value, but he nonetheless appears to have the inside track to the starting job -- at least for now.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Starting Tuesday
Roby will start Tuesday's game against the Kings, Rylan Stiles of Locked On Thunder reports.
With Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) sidelined, Roby will move back into the starting five alongside Moses Brown. He had 11 points and five boards in 22 minutes off the bench Monday against Phoenix.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Starting vs. Pacers

Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Flirts with double-double in loss
Roby tallied 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, three steals and two assists across 16 minutes in Thursday's 109-95 loss to the Pelicans.
Roby played from the bench again and served in a limited capacity due to his lingering toe injury, but he inflicted swift damage in the loss. Now in his second year, the 6-foot-8 Nebraska product is almost assuredly in Oklahoma City's plans after they try to regroup from a lost season, but with Moses Brown being the flavor of the month at center, Roby's impact is capped with the second unit.... Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Plays 28 minutes in return
Roby (toe) logged 28 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 122-116 loss to the Pacers, finishing with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal.
The Thunder didn't provide much clarity on Roby's status leading up to opening tip after he was upgraded from "out" to "questionable" earlier Wednesday, but he ended up serving as the team's top big man off the bench. Oklahoma City ideally would have eased Roby back from a one-game absence with a lighter workload, but Aleksej Pokusevski's (illness) first-quarter exit created a void at forward.... See More ... Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Upgraded to questionable
Roby (toe) has been upgraded from out to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.
Roby is apparently feeling better than expected and could end up playing Wednesday even though he was ruled out earlier. Over his past six appearances, he's averaged 6.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23.5 minutes.... See More ... See Less
Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Out Wednesday

Thunder's Isaiah Roby: Out with sprained toe
Roby will not play Monday against the Wizards due to a sprained toe.
You never know what you're going to get with the Thunder's injury report these days, and Roby represents the latest out-of-nowhere injury that will sideline one of the team's regular contributors. Roby saw 21 minutes of action Sunday against the Raptors, finishing with 11 points, eight boards, three assists, a steal and a block. He should be considered day-to-day until further notice....
