Marcell Ateman: Cut by Arizona
The Cardinals waived Ateman on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Ateman linked up with Arizona in early August after being released from the Raiders' practice squad in November. The 2018 seventh-round pick failed to register a catch over three total snaps during his lone game played with Las Vegas last year. Ateman will now look to join the third team of his professional career after moving to waivers Monday.

Cardinals' Marcell Ateman: Joins Arizona
Ateman signed a contract with the Cardinals on Thursday, Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic reports.
Ateman was signed by Arizona after the team cut offensive lineman Eric Smith Thursday. The wideout collected 20 catches for 270 yards and one touchdown over his first two professional seasons with the Raiders, but he has failed to record a reception since the 2019 campaign. Ateman spent last year on and off Las Vegas' practice squad, and he likely will compete for reps at wideout with Andre Baccellia and Jontre Kirklin in the preseason.

Ateman caught three of seven targets for 46 yards in the Raiders' Week 17 loss to the Broncos, finishing his 2019 campaign with five receptions on 10 targets for 116 yards in 11 games.
Ateman's role in the Raiders' aerial attack was severely limited throughout his second year in the league until finally logging a season-high 52 offensive snaps and seven targets in Week 17.
