Darrell Daniels: Joins Indianapolis' practice squad
Indianapolis signed Daniels to its practice squad Wednesday.
Daniels appeared in 15 games for the Cardinals last season, recording one catch for zero yards, but he failed to stick with the Texans this offseason and has remained a free agent since. The veteran tight end will get his first NFL opportunity of the campaign with Indianapolis and could be a candidate for elevation if Jelani Woods (shoulder) is unable to play in Week 10.

Darrell Daniels: Released by Houston
The Texans released Daniels on Friday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Daniels signed a contract with Houston in May after spending three years in Arizona. However, the Texans have opted to move on from the veteran tight end in favor of former Bengals tight end Mason Schreck, who signed with Houston on Friday.

Texans' Darrell Daniels: Inks new deal
Daniels signed with the Texans on Monday, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Daniels spent the last three seasons with the Cardinals, mostly supplying tight end depth for them, a role he'll likely have if he can crack the Texans roster. Last season, Daniels appeared in 15 contests, making one catch on four targets for no yards.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: No designation for Week 11
Daniels (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Daniels was a limited participant in the Cardinals' first two Week 11 practices on account of the shoulder injury, but he gained clearance for Sunday after practicing fully Friday, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site. He'll likely serve as the No. 2 tight end behind starter Zach Ertz this weekend, with Daniels being deployed primarily as a blocker.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Available Week 8
Daniels (hamstring) is active for Thursday's game against the Packers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Daniels was listed as limited all week on Cardinals injury reports, but his hamstring issue won't deter him from suiting up. That said, with Zach Ertz having one more week of prep to acclimate himself to the offense, Daniels likely won't have much more than a bit role now and moving forward.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Questionable for TNF
Daniels (hamstring) is questionable for this week's matchup with the Packers on Thursday Night Football, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Daniels was a limited participant in practice Tuesday before being estimated as limited at Wednesday's walkthrough. He is likely going to be a game-time decision, and if the tight end can't go, Demetrius Harris would operate as the primary backup behind Zach Ertz at the position.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Limited again Tuesday
Daniels (hamstring) was a limited participant during Tuesday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Daniels didn't practice at all last week and was inactive for the Cardinals' Week 7 win over the Texans, so it is a positive sign to see him back at practice, even if it is in a limited fashion. Arizona faces Green Bay on Sunday, so Daniels will have one more shot Wednesday to log a full practice. If he is unable to suit up Thursday, Demetrius Harris will likely operate as the backup to recently acquired Zach Ertz.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Listed as limited Monday
Daniels (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Daniels missed last week's win over Houston due to this injury and will have a short week to recover with Arizona facing the Packers on Thursday, but this limited designation is a step in the right direction after he failed to practice at all last week. If he's able to return Thursday, Daniels will likely work as the top backup to Zach Ertz.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Ruled out for Week 7
Arizona ruled Daniels (hamstring) out for Sunday's contest against the Texans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Daniels didn't practice at all this week, so his absence Sunday comes as little surprise. With the recently acquired Zach Ertz set to make his team debut Sunday while taking over as the Cardinals' No. 1 tight end moving forward, Demetrius Harris will operate as the clear top backup with Daniels out of the mix this week.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Idle for second straight practice
Daniels (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday and wasn't on the field for Thursday's session, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
With Daniels beginning Week 7 prep with consecutive absences at practice, he's trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game against the Texans. Daniels appeared headed for a bigger opportunity after top tight end Maxx Williams (knee) was placed on injured reserve ahead of the Cardinals' Week 6 win over the Browns, but the 26-year-old played just 23 snaps and drew one target before exiting with the hamstring injury. Arizona has since acquired Zach Ertz from Philadelphia to take over as the No. 1 option at the position, so Daniels will be headed for a backup role if he can overcome his hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's contest.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Nursing hamstring injury
Daniels exited Sunday's game against the Browns with a hamstring injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Daniels failed to catch his lone target before the injury was announced during the third quarter. Demetrius Harris and Ross Travis are Arizona's remaining healthy options at tight end since Zach Ertz isn't eligible to suit up because he already played Thursday before being acquired from Philadelphia.

Cardinals' Darrell Daniels: Clear for Week 6
Daniels (illness) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Cleveland, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
After a near week-long stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Daniels cleared league protocols and was brought back to the active roster Tuesday. No matter, the Cardinals capped his reps in the first two practices of Week 6 prep before allowing him to handle all of them Friday. Daniels thus will be available for the first time since Week 4, only this time he'll be the team's top tight end in the wake of Maxx Williams' likely season-ending knee injury. Arizona did swing a deal for Zach Ertz on Friday, but because he played Thursday against the Buccaneers, he isn't eligible to play until Week 7 against the Texans. Until then, Daniels, Demetrius Harris and practice squad member Ross Travis will handle TE duties for the Cards.
