After this move, Shittu will be free to sign with another team once he's healthy.

Eagles' Aziz Shittu: Being evaluated for head injury
Shittu exited Thursday's preseason tilt against the Jets to be evaluated for a head injury.
Shittu originally signed with the Eagles on Aug. 14. The 25-year-old played for Philadelphia in the 2018 preseason but ultimately didn't make the 53-man roster. Shittu seems to face similar odds this time around, and the head injury now could be the deciding factor for Philadelphia.

Eagles' Aziz Shittu: Joins Eagles
Shittu signed a contract with the Eagles on Tuesday, Nick Fiero of The Morning Call reports.
Shittu previously spent the 2017 season on Philadelphia's injured reserve. He appeared in preseason action with the Eagles in 2018, but ultimately did not crack the 53-man roster. He now faces similar odds to earn a significant role with the team.

Aziz Shittu: Let go by Dallas
Shittu was cut from the Cowboys' practice squad Tuesday, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Shittu spent the 2017 campaign on the Eagles' injured reserve and was added to Dallas' practice squad Sept. 5. The second-year defensive end will look to find a new home and is free to sign with any team.

Eagles' Aziz Shittu: Returns to game action
Shittu (knee) has seen action in both of the Eagles' preseason games thus far.
Shittu spent all of the 2017 season on the Eagles' injured reserve with a knee injury, but he's played 31 and 12 defensive snaps, respectively, in the first two preseason games. The 24-year-old is facing long odds to crack the 53-man roster for a solid Philadelphia defensive front.

Eagles' Aziz Shittu: Reverts to injured reserve
Shittu (knee) has reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve list.
Shittu is a second-year player who spent the entire 2016 season on the Eagles' practice squad. He was waived/injured in early May after hurting his knee in non-contact drills, but has since cleared waivers and reverted to IR. Unfortunately neither the extent of the damage done to his knee or a timetable for his return were disclosed.
