Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Participating this spring
Wilson (neck) has been participating in Arizona's offseason program.
The 24-year-old cornerback has moved past the neck injury that bothered him last December/January and should keep his starting job for a Cardinals defense that looks rather weak at his position. Wilson has started 26 of his 28 games since Arizona made him a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, recording 106 tackles, 14 pass defenses and three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). He and Rashad Fenton are the only corners on the roster that can claim double-digit starts in the NFL.

Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Won't play Week 18
Wilson (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Wilson has been dealing with a neck injury since the Week 14 loss, and he'll now be sidelined for the third time over the final four games of the regular season. The 23-year-old logged 58 tackles, 10 passes defended and three interceptions, including a pick-six across 14 games, all of which represent career highs. With Antonio Hamilton (hip) also remaining out Week 18, the Cardinals could be down to just two available cornerbacks between Christian Matthew and Jace Whittaker, as reserve Josh Jackson (hamstring) is also considered questionable to play versus San Francisco.

Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Won't play Week 17
Wilson (neck) is inactive for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Wilson suffered a neck stinger last week against Tampa Bay and was deemed by Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury to be day-to-day. The cornerback logged a limited practice session Thursday, but that was sandwiched around Wednesday and Friday DNPs. Jace Whittaker appears in line to start in Wilson's place Sunday.

Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Questionable to play Sunday
Wilson (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Falcons, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Wilson was forced out with a stinger in his neck during the Week 16 loss to Tampa Bay, and he was deemed day-to-day by Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury heading into Week 17 prep. The second-year cornerback then logged one limited session Thursday sandwiched between DNPs on Wednesday and Friday, so his official availability will come down to the pregame inactives list released 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 1 pm E.T. kickoff. With fellow starter Antonio Hamilton (hip) ruled out, the Cardinals' secondary could be left with three available cornerbacks if Wilson ultimately sits out.

Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Practices in limited fashion
Wilson (neck) was limited in Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Wilson, who sustained a stinger in his neck this past weekend against the Buccaneers, was able to upgrade to limited activity Thursday following his DNP designation on Wednesday's practice estimate. After Arizona's Week 16 loss, the second-year pro said that he felt fine, per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com, so it currently sounds as if he'll continue operating as one of the Cardinals' starting cornerbacks versus the Falcons on New Year's Day.

Cardinals' Marco Wilson: Dealing with stinger, should be ok
Head coach Kliff Kingbury said Monday that Wilson (stinger) is considered day-to-day, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Although Wilson departed Sunday's contest against Tampa Bay due to a stinger, he said after the game that he felt fine, per Weinfuss. The 23-year-old's activity levels in practice throughout the week should provide further clarification regarding his availability for Arizona's New Year's Day matchup versus Atlanta, but he's nonetheless anticipated to suit up in Week 17 and continue operating as one of the Cardinals' starting cornerbacks opposite veteran Antonio Hamilton.
