Mason spent all of last year and the first three weeks of this year on Baltimore's practice squad, but at least for now, the Ravens have decided to part ways with him. He's now set to become a free agent.

Ben Mason: Rejoins Baltimore on practice squad
Mason was picked up by the Ravens' practice squad Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Mason was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday. He has yet to play in an NFL game since being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He spent last year on Baltimore's practice squad and will resume that role to start the 2023 season.

Mason was waived by Baltimore on Tuesday.
Mason was a fifth-round draft pick by Baltimore in 2021, though he spent most of that season on the Patriots' and Bears' practice squads. He ended up back with the Ravens last season but ended up on the practice squad again for the entire campaign. Mason has yet to play a snap in the NFL, and he's a candidate to rejoin Baltimore's practice squad once again for the start of the coming campaign.

Mason joined the Ravens' practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Mason was drafted by the Ravens in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft but ended up splitting his rookie season between the Patriots and Bears practice squads after failing to make the team. While he failed to make Baltimore's 53-man roster once again in 2022, Mason will remain in the Ravens organization as a potential injury replacement for Patrick Ricard.

Ravens' Ben Mason: Signs with Ravens
The Ravens signed Mason to a reserve/future contract Friday, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Mason was a fifth-round pick by the Ravens in the 2021 NFL Draft but was waived in late August before spending time with the Patriots and Bears as part of their practice squads. However, he'll now have another chance to secure a role with Baltimore during the offseason.

Mason was signed to the Bears' practice squad Tuesday.
Mason was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 Draft by Baltimore, but he was cut at the conclusion of training camp. He then made his way to the Patriots' practice squad but was released Nov. 8. The 22-year-old Michigan product has yet to make his NFL debut and will now try to earn a shot on the Bears' active roster. In a corresponding move, the Bears released linebacker Rashad Smith from the practice squad.

With fullback Patrick Ricard easily ahead of Mason on the depth chart, the Ravens' fifth-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft was released Tuesday. The fullback was hoping to earn a roster spot with one of the Ravens' special teams units, but he will now have to look for a job elsewhere.
