  • Blake Grupe: Finds work in Indy

The Colts signed Grupe to their practice squad Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. After Michael Badgley missed his third point-after attempt in just seven games in this past Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Texans, the Colts worked out three kickers Tuesday. Grupe emerged from the tryout with a spot on the practice squad, and he should be on track to be elevated or signed to the Colts' 53-man roster after Indianapolis officially waived Badgley on Tuesday. Indianapolis will mark the second stop of Grupe's professional career after he had served as the Saints' kicker since the start of the 2023 season before being cut loose last week. Grupe had missed eight field-goal tries in 26 attempts for New Orleans this season, but he's converted at a more palatable 79.8 percent clip for his career.

  • Blake Grupe: Time in New Orleans ends

The Saints waived Grupe on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Grupe knocked down a career-best 87.1 percent of his field-goal tries in 2024, but his accuracy had cratered during his third NFL season. After missing attempts from 38 and 47 yards in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Falcons, Grupe's conversion rate for the season dropped to 69.2 percent, placing him last among all NFL kickers with at least 20 attempts. The Saints have signed Cade York to their practice squad following a tryout, and he'll presumably be elevated or signed to the 53-man roster to step in as the team's new kicker beginning with Sunday's game in Miami.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Misses two more FGAs in loss

Grupe made just one of three field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point try in New Orleans' 24-10 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. It's been a trying season for Grupe, who is now just 18 of 26 on field-goal tries this season. His misses against Atlanta came from 38 and 47 yards. Grupe is likely on thin ice in New Orleans after the team flirted with kickers earlier this season.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Makes three kicks in win

Grupe made his lone field-goal attempt and both of his extra points in the Saints' win over the Panthers on Sunday. Grupe's make came from 21 yards out in the first quarter. The 27-year-old has struggled this season, making just 17 of his 23 field-goal attempts, though he's converted all 16 extra-point tries. In an offense that struggles to score points, Grupe holds minimal fantasy value.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Limited workload in Week 9

Grupe made his only field-goal attempt and PAT in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Rams. Grupe was limited to just one field-goal try for the third week in a row, connecting on a 39-yarder in the second quarter. The kicker now has gone 16-for-22 on field-goal tries, including 3-for-6 from 50-plus yards, while making all 12 of his extra-point attempts over nine games this year.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Hits 48-yard field goal

Grupe went 1-for-1 on field-goal tries in Sunday's 23-3 loss to the Bucs. The kicker connected from 48 yards out late in the first half, his only opportunity of the game. Grupe has missed five times this season from 40 yards or longer, though he is 10-of-11 from inside 40 and 11-of-11 on extra-point tries. The third-year pro has attempted multiple field goals in five games this season and multiple extra points in just three.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Perfect in Week 6 loss

Grupe made all four of his field-goal attempts and connected on his lone extra-point try during the Saints' 25-19 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Grupe kept the Saints in striking distance with his boot Sunday, and he capped off his day with a 54-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. It was his second consecutive game with four made field goals, though just the second time this season that he has not missed a kick. Grupe has opened the regular season 14-for-19 on field-goal tries and 9-for-9 on extra-point attempts through six games.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Makes four field goals in win

Grupe went 4-for-6 on field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-14 win over the Giants. Grupe made field goals from 28, 53, 29 and 28 yards in the victory, but he also missed a 52-yard attempt and a 46-yarder as well. The kicker has now gone 10-for-15 on field-goal tries, including 3-for-5 from 50-plus yards, while making all eight of his PATs over five games this year.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Hits long field goal in loss

Grupe went two of two on field-goal attempts, including a 54-yarder, and made his only extra-point try in Sunday's 31-19 loss to the Bills. The kicker also nailed a 35-yarder in the fourth. Grupe has yet to miss an extra point in 2025, though he has missed three field goals. Perhaps Sunday's performance can get him and the 0-4 Saints on track with the Giants looming next week.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Makes pair of FGs in loss

Grupe went 2-of-3 on field-goal attempts and converted his lone extra-point try in the Saints' 20-13 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. Grupe's miss was from 37 yards out at the end of a 14-play drive by the Saints. His makes came from 36 and 28 yards, and the 36-yard conversion tied the game at 10-10 in the second quarter. Grupe made 27 of 31 field-goal attempts last season and 31 of his 33 extra-point efforts. With Spencer Rattler at quarterback for New Orleans, Grupe doesn't profile as an ideal fantasy kicker in an offense that figures to struggle to score points.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Converts four FGs in Week 18

Grupe went 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 1-for-1 on point-after tries during Sunday's 27-19 defeat versus Tampa Bay. Grupe ended his second season on a high note by making four field-goal tries for the first time since Week 1. While he finished with three fewer field-goal makes this season (27) compared to last year (30), the 5-foot-7 kicker showed some improvements from 2023 to 2024, increasing his field goal percentage from 81 percent to 87 percent. Barring any unforeseen injuries or issues, Grupe should return as the Saints' starting kicker for the 2025 campaign.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Knocks through both tries Week 17

Grupe went 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 1-for-1 on point-after tries during Sunday's 25-10 loss versus Las Vegas. Grupe converted a 34-yard field-goal attempt that cut the score to 13-10 at the end of the first half. The second-year kicker never got another chance for the rest of the game, as New Orleans was outscored 12-0 in the second half. He has now hit all but four of his 27 field-goal tries this season, and he's only missed two of 32 PATs. Grupe will look to finish the season out strong versus Tampa Bay next Sunday, Jan. 5.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Hits two FGs in Week 15

Grupe converted 2 of 2 field-goal attempts and was 1 for 1 on point-after tries during Sunday's 20-19 defeat against Washington. Grupe bounced back after going 0 for 2 on field-goal tries last week. The second-year kicker knocked through field goals on back-to-back drives in the fourth quarter, first hitting from 41 yards out before hitting again from 51 yards. Grupe has now converted 22 of 26 field-goal tries this season, and he's gone 14-for-16 on attempts of 40-plus yards. The Saints will next play versus the Packers on Monday, Dec. 23.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Misses two FGs in win

Grupe went 0-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after tries during Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants. Grupe failed to convert two field-goal tries of 50-plus yards, first missing wide left on a 53-yarder in the first quarter. He then had a 60-yard attempt blocked as time expired at the end of the first half. The second-year kicker has been steady this season, and he'd previously done well from long distance, going a perfect 5-for-5 on tries of 50-plus over the first 12 games. However, Grupe's struggled as of late with three missed field-goal tries over the last two weeks. He'll look to bounce back next week versus Washington on Sunday, Dec. 15.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Nails both FGs in Week 10

Grupe went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after tries during Sunday's 20-17 victory against the Falcons. Grupe put the Saints on the board with a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter, and he scored the team's final three points with a 26-yarder in the third quarter. The second-year kicker has missed just one of his 19 field-goal attempts through the first 10 games of the season. Lately New Orleans' offense has not been nearly as hot as it was to start the year, but Grupe's surefire efficiency makes him a reliable backup option or waiver-wire pickup in fantasy leagues. He'll look to remain accurate during next week's home game versus the Browns on Sunday, Nov. 17.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Misses FG attempt Week 8

Grupe went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts during Sunday's 26-8 loss against the Chargers. Grupe missed a field goal for the first time this season, pushing a 44-yard attempt wide right during the fourth quarter. The second-year kicker still made field-goal tries of 40 and 43 yards, and he's now gone 13-for-14 on FGAs while making all but two of his 20 PATs through eight games. Grupe will look to make all of his tries during next week's game at Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 3.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Logs one field-goal try Week 7

Grupe connected on his only field-goal attempt and his only extra-point try during Thursday's 33-10 loss versus Denver. The Saints' offense struggled due to starting quarterback Derek Carr being sidelined for the second week in a row. New Orleans scored 27 points during the second quarter of last week's loss to Tampa Bay, but it's scored just 10 points in seven other quarters over the last two games. Nevertheless, Grupe has converted all 11 of his field-goal tries through seven contests this season, and his only misses have come on two of 20 PATs. Grupe will look to remain perfect from the field when the Saints take on the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 27.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Converts two FGAs in Week 6

Grupe connected on both field-goal attempts and was 3-for-3 on point-after tries during Sunday's 51-27 defeat versus Tampa Bay. Grupe saw his workload bump back up after attempting just one field goal over the previous two contests. The second-year kicker hit field-goal tries of 42 and 29 yards in the second quarter, and he's now converted all 10 of his FGAs and all but two of his 19 PATs through the first six games of the season. Grupe and the Saints' offense will look to put up another strong outing versus the Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 7.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Kicker to Sit

Grupe got off to a great start in Week 1 with 22 Fantasy points behind four made field goals, including two from 50-plus yards, and five PATs. Since then, he's combined for 22 Fantasy points in his past four games with four field goals and nine PATs. He missed two PATs over that span, and the Saints will be without Derek Carr (oblique) this week against the Buccaneers. The offense could struggle, and I would look elsewhere for a starting kicker in Week 6.

  • Saints' Blake Grupe: Misses second PAT versus Chiefs

Grupe converted on 1-for-2 point-after tries during Monday's 26-13 loss against Kansas City. Grupe did not attempt a field goal for the first time this season, and he missed a PAT for just the second time. The second-year kicker has now logged just four field-goal tries since Week 1. After rolling to back-to-back blowout wins to start the season, the Saints' offense has sputtered over the past three games. This only figures to get worst with quarterback Derek Carr expected to miss multiple weeks due to an oblique injury sustained Monday night. Grupe will hope to see more opportunities during next week's game versus the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 13.
