Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Practices in full
Trotter (knee) was a full participant in practice Tuesday.
Trotter opened the week as a limited participant in practice Monday with a knee injury sustained in Week 4. With a full practice Tuesday, the 21-year-old should be ready to go for the Buccaneers' Thursday night matchup against the Cowboys. The second-round rookie has 33 tackles (17 solo), including one sack, one pass deflection, and one touchdown in three games this season.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Considered to be limited Monday
Trotter (knee) was listed as a limited participant on the Buccaneers' estimated injury report Monday, Brianna Dix of the team's official site reports.
Trotter was able to return to action Sunday against the Packers after a one-week absence with a shoulder injury. The linebacker notched nine total tackles (seven solo) in the team's 17-14 loss to Green Bay, but he may have picked up a knee injury along the way. Trotter will have two more chances to be upgraded to a full participant before Thursday night's matchup with Dallas.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Full practice Thursday
Trotter (shoulder) was a full participant at the Buccaneers' practice Thursday.
Trotter was limited at Wednesday's first practice of the week due to the shoulder issue that sidelined him for Week 3 against Minnesota. The rookie now looks to be back to full health, and he'll likely be back in his starting role at inside linebacker Sunday versus the Packers.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Limited to begin Week 4 prep
Trotter (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Trotter was unable to suit up for the Buccaneers' Week 3 loss to the Panthers due to a shoulder injury. The linebacker upgraded to a limited participant in last Friday's session, so maintaining that level of participation in Wednesday's practice is a good sign for the rookie second-rounder. Trotter will need to upgrade to a full participant by Friday to avoid any injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Sidelined for Week 3
Trotter (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Trotter was a limited participant in Friday's practice after opening the week with back-to-back DNPs. However, the rookie second-rounder has not progressed enough in his recovery from a shoulder injury to play Sunday, so he'll aim toward being available for Week 4 against Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 4. One of Christian Rozeboom and SirVocea Dennis will start at inside linebacker next to Alex Anzalone in Trotter's absence.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Still idle due to shoulder injury
Trotter (shoulder) did not participate in Thursday's practice.
Trotter has opened Week 3 prep with back-to-back DNPs due to a shoulder injury he presumably sustained during this past Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Browns. He'll need to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday to have a realistic chance of playing this Sunday against the Vikings. SirVocea Dennis and Christian Rozeboom would be the top candidates to start alongside Alex Anzalone at inside linebacker if Trotter is unable to play.

Buccaneers' Josiah Trotter: Standout day in loss
Trotter produced 11 tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks and two total tackles for loss, and added a pass defensed for a 38-yard pick-six during Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Bengals.
Despite a disappointing season-opening loss, Trotter had a field day. The linebacker was a disruptive force, producing a game-high tackle total. Trotter also recorded a late third-quarter pick-six on Joe Burrow that narrowed the Buccaneers' deficit to a touchdown at the time. The second-round rookie out of Missouri put together an outstanding first game, with Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reporting that Trotter is the only player since sacks became an official stat in 1982 to record a sack and a pick-six in his NFL debut.
