Turner did not record an offensive snap during Week 17's win over the Patriots.
Turner's only offensive snaps with Miami came during Week 16's overtime win over the Bengals, during which he carried the rock four times for six yards. Across eight games in 2019, he handled 136 snaps on special teams. The 24-year-old is under contract for 2020, so he should be afforded the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in the offseason.

Dolphins' De'Lance Turner: Signed by Miami
Turner was signed by the Dolphins on Tuesday, the team's official site reports.
Poached off the Ravens' practice squad, Turner appeared in four games as an undrafted rookie in Baltimore last season before ultimately landing on injured reserve. The Alcorn State product will provide depth out of the Dolphins' backfield while fellow running back Mark Walton serves his four-game suspension.

Ravens' De'Lance Turner: Mediocre in Philly
Turner rushed six times for 24 yards and caught his lone target for a loss of five yards in Thursday's 26-15 preseason win over Philadelphia.
Quarterback Trace McSorley was the only other Raven with more than one carry in a game that was canceled early in the fourth quarter due to lightning, but Turner didn't do much with his opportunity to stand out from the team's other roster bubble running backs. Turner will have one more chance to make a strong impression against the Redskins in Week 4 of preseason.

Ravens' De'Lance Turner: Could provide big-play threat
Coach John Harbaugh mentioned Turner (hamstring) when discussing the Ravens' desire to add a big-play threat in the backfield, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. "I like the idea of adding a shifty, third-down, home-run-type hitter guy," Harbaugh said. "We might have him already. We had a pretty good rookie last year [Turner] who got hurt early in the season."
Turner caught on with Baltimore as an undrafted rookie in 2018, spending one week on the practice squad and four on the active roster before a hamstring injury allowed the team to stash him on injured reserve. His 214-pound frame and 4.53 40-yard-dash time don't exactly support Harbaugh's assessment, but Turner did have a 65-yard touchdown run during the final week of the preseason. Turner will enter the offseason program fourth or fifth on the depth chart at running back, with Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards and Kenneth Dixon occupying the top three spots.

Turner has been dealing with an injured hamstring throughout the week, and it turns out the issue is serious enough to keep him sidelined for what will likely be the remainder of the season. He only logged one carry for four yards and two receptions for 17 yards through four games, as he primarily provided depth at running back behind Alex Collins and Javorius Allen.

The undrafted rookie saw the first offensive touches of his career Sunday. Turner saw his lone carry in the third quarter when the game still hung in the balance and followed it up with a reception midway through the fourth quarter. Still, he's an emergency third option out of the backfield behind Alex Collins and Javorius Allen. Barring injury to either of those two, Turner figures to have a very minor role in the Baltimore offense moving forward.
