Steelers' Spencer Anderson: Slated for Week 1 start
Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Anderson will start Sunday's regular-season opener against the Falcons with Isaac Seumalo (pectoral) ruled out, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Tomlin stated that Seumalo will be back "sooner rather than later" but is "week-to-week," per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, so it's possible Anderson could draw another start Week 2 on the road at Denver. The 2023 seventh-round pick suited up for eight games as a rookie.
