Goodson likely tweaked his ankle during the Colts' loss to the 49ers on Monday, when he turned three carries into nine yards and added 60 yards on two kickoff returns. He'll have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of Sunday's AFC South tilt against Jacksonville.

Goodson's three carries Monday were his first rushing attempts since Week 10. In 10 appearances, the 25-year-old running back has recorded just eight rushes for 21 yards, adding two catches on three targets for eight yards. Barring an injury to Jonathan Taylor down the stretch, Goodson will remain far off the fantasy radar in a Week 17 matchup against the Jaguars.

Goodson failed to record a single offensive snap in Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Seahawks.
Goodson was not involved on offense Sunday, as the third-year running back failed to record an offensive snap for the second time this season. The 25-year-old has not been a big part of the game plan all season, playing just 28 offensive snaps in nine appearances during the 2025 campaign. Goodson has recorded just five rushes for 12 yards and two catches for eight yards over the course of the season. The Iowa product remains far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 16 matchup against the 49ers.

Goodson was a complete nonfactor Sunday, as the running back played just one of the Colts' 70 offensive snaps behind Jonathan Taylor (52) and Ameer Abdullah (17). For fantasy purposes, the 25-year-old Goodson remains an interesting insurance policy if Taylor misses time due to injury, but the Iowa product should otherwise remain far off the fantasy radar when the Colts visit the Seahawks in Week 15.

Goodson rushed once for four yards in Sunday's 31-25 win over the Falcons.
Goodson played just two of the Colts' 77 offensive snaps Sunday, behind both Jonathan Taylor (70) and Ameer Abdullah (5). With Taylor handling a 91 percent snap share and rushing for 244 yards and three touchdowns, the 25-year-old Goodson was not relied upon in the Colts' offensive plans. This has been the case for most of the 2025 campaign, as the third-year running back has recorded just five carries for 12 yards and two catches for eight yards in the five games he's played so far. Barring an injury to Taylor, Goodson is far off the fantasy radar as Indianapolis heads into its Week 11 bye before a matchup against the Chiefs in Week 12.

Goodson had one reception for eight yards on two targets in Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh.
Goodson played a season-high 10 snaps on offense with the Colts trailing most of the game. However, the Colts didn't turn to a pass-catching running back as they have in the past as Jonathan Taylor stayed in the game and played on 62 of the offense's 79 snaps. Ameer Abdullah played on five snaps and had one carry and one reception. As long as Taylor is healthy, it looks the other running backs will have very minor roles even if the Colts are forced throw the ball.

Colts' Tyler Goodson: Gets two carries in return
Goodson had two carries for two yards in Sunday's 38-14 win over Tennessee.
Goodson returned after missing three games due to a groin injury. He's clearly ahead of DJ Giddens on the depth chart, as the rookie was a healthy inactive. However, Ameer Abdullah may be the No. 2 running back even with Goodson healthy as he played 10 offensive snaps compared to four for Goodson. Both had only two carries however, and none of the backups will get enough touches to have viable fantasy value as long as Jonathan Taylor dominates the workload even in blowouts, as Sunday's win was essentially wrapped up before the fourth quarter.

Goodson has missed the Colts' last two games due to a groin injury that he picked up in Week 4 against the Rams. He'll need to return to practice in at least a limited capacity in order to have a realistic chance of playing against the Chargers on Sunday. DJ Giddens and practice squad member Ameer Abdullah will continue to handle backup duties out of the backfield behind Jonathan Taylor for as long as Goodson is out of action.
