Panthers' Amare Barno: Clear of injury report
Barno (hamstring) isn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Barno picked up a hamstring injury during the Panthers' second preseason game, but he's since cleared the issue and should be good to go for Week 1. The rookie sixth-round pick is expected to operate as rotational depth along Carolina's defensive line to start his NFL career.

Panthers' Amare Barno: Injures hamstring
Barno suffered a hamstring injury during Carolina's 20-10 preseason loss at New England on Friday, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.
The severity of the injury is still unknown, but he was ruled out for the remainder of the game after sustaining it. In his first two preseason appearances, Barno has flashed some of the potential the Panthers saw in him after he ran a 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, registering three tackles, a QB hit and a fumble recovery. As he works to recover, Darryl Johnson and Drew Jordan should be in line for more work at defensive end.

Panthers' Amare Barno: Gets chance in Carolina
The Panthers selected Barno in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 189th overall.
Barno spent two seasons at community college and barely played in his first season at Virginia Tech, but he lived in opponents' backfields over his final two college campaigns. The 6-foot-5, 246-pound edge rusher recorded 78 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks over 23 games (18 starts) in that stretch. He's an agile player that may have relied too much on his athleticism in college, but Barno has the ingredients to make the NFL leap.
