Lions' Bobby Price: Ready for return
Price (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
Price has missed each of Detroit's last two games, first due to a shoulder injury and then due to COVID-19 protocols. He should be in line for a return Sunday against the Cardinals and is likely to serve primarily on special teams.... See More ... See Less
Lions' Bobby Price: Added to COVID-19 list
Price was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
The loss of Price hurts the depth at the cornerback position, but it's worth noting he's played fewer than 15 percent of the defensive snaps in each of Detroit's last seven contests. His loss will open the door for names such as Ifeatu Melifonwu and Mark Gilbert to see more snaps.... See More ... See Less

Lions' Bobby Price: Misses practice Wednesday
Price (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Price recorded two tackles and three pass breakups during Sunday's 19-17 loss to Baltimore.
After seeing zero defensive snaps in the season opener and then less than half of them in Week 2, Price logged 100 percent of the available snaps Sunday with both Jeff Okudah (Achilles) and Ifeatu Melifonwu (thigh) on IR. The results have been impressive for the converted safety who went undrafted out of Norfolk State in 2020. With Okudah done for the year and Melifonwu sidelined for the foreseeable future, Price could become a mainstay in the defensive lineup.... See More ... See Less

Lions' Bobby Price: Moving to cornerback
Head coach Dan Campbell said Price is being moved to cornerback, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. "Bobby is very intriguing," Campbell said. "Very intriguing because he's a long, linear, explosive athlete who's been playing safety. Man, we think he can really help us on special teams, but now we're not so sure that he may not be a corner, because he runs so good and he is a really good athlete. Look, we're intrigued."
The second-year man played safety at Norfolk State and then again as a rookie who only saw action on special teams in two games for Detroit last year. At 6-foot-3 with 4.43 speed, Price has intriguing measurables for a perimeter cornerback, but he'll probably need to continue to stand out on special teams in order to make the roster....
