Anderson and Danielle Hunter combined to sack Dak Prescott for a 9-yard loss on third down right before halftime. The sack set up a 65-yard field-goal attempt, which Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey missed. Anderson played 79 percent of the Texans' defensive snaps in the contest (62).

Anderson was limited to open the week with an ankle injury, but he now appears to be good to go for Sunday's matchup with the Cowboys. The defensive lineman has compiled 18 total tackles (10 solo), including 4.0 sacks, while also adding both a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over three contests to open the 2026 campaign.

Anderson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Anderson may have injured his ankle during the Texans' Week 3 loss to the Colts, when he logged seven tackles (five solo), including 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He's been a key piece to the Texans' defense since entering the league in 2023 as a first-round pick, and if he cannot play against the Cowboys on Sunday, then Jadeveon Clowney (knee) and Dominique Robinson would both be in line for more snaps at defensive end opposite Danielle Hunter. Anderson will have two more opportunities to log a full practice and avoid an injury designation for Week 4.
Anderson compiled eight total tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding a pass defensed in Sunday's 20-6 loss to Cincinnati.
Anderson was able to get to the quarterback again during Week 2, bringing down Joe Burrow for a five-yard loss in the second quarter. The 25-year-old finished second on the team in tackles behind linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (12), and Anderson has now registered 11 total tackles (five solo), including 1.5 sacks, while also notching a pass defensed over two games this season.
Anderson logged three tackles (one solo), including 0.5 sacks, in Sunday's 36-31 loss to the Bills.
Anderson played 49 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss, 88 percent of the Texans' total defensive plays. The star defensive end was largely neutralized by the Bills' tackle duo of Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, a complete 180 from the matchup with them in the 2025 season when the Texans had eight sacks.
