PHOTOS: Calgary Flames unveil new third jersey
The Calgary Flames' new third jersey was apparently leaked by EA Sports and indeed that was the case. The team unveiled a new sweater on Sunday, just like the leaked version.
The Calgary Flames had been working on a new third jersey, one that was apparently leaked by EA Sports in the NHL 14 video game earlier this season. Indeed those were the the new alternate sweaters as the team officially unveiled them on Sunday.
Here's a closer look via Reddit.
The Flames didn't adopt a different base color than their primary home sweater which is red and features the flaming C crest in the middle of the sweater. They stuck with red and replaced the C with a script Calgary and the flaming C right below.
There was some speculatin that the Flames would have a black third but avoided the temptation. Instead, they have black shoulder yokes, similar to what we've seen recently with the Wild and Hurricanes' new sweaters. In addition, it has the stripes across the bottom and has the throwback laces at the top. Nike, that's what sweater laces should look like, by the way.
So what says the peanut gallery; good looking sweater?
