Faber scored two goals on six shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Stars in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Faber accounted for all the offense the Wild were able to muster in this game, and the two goals he scored were also his first two career postseason goals. Faber isn't expected to be a go-to scoring threat for Minnesota in the playoffs, although it's worth noting he scored a career-high 15 goals in 80 regular-season games. He should continue to play a prominent role in the Wild's top defensive pairing going forward.

Wild's Brock Faber: Returns to practice
Faber (rest) was part of the top defensive pairing during Thursday's practice session, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating that he'll be available for the start of the playoffs.
Faber sat out Minnesota's final two regular-season games for rest purposes, but he was fully expected to be back in action for the start of postseason play. Faber appeared in 80 regular-season games this year, racking up 15 goals, 36 assists, 148 blocked shots, 39 PIM and 33 hits while averaging 24:41 of ice time.

With the Wild's spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs practically set in stone, Faber will have Tuesday's game off to be well rested for Game 1 of the team's first-round matchup. It came on a first period power play when his point shot deflected off the bottom on Andrei Vasilevskiy's glove. Faber's goal established a new career mark in points (48) in 72 games. After having a hand in first-period tallies by Ryan Hartman and Vladimir Tarasenko, Faber picked up his third helper on Mats Zuccarello's game-winner. The three-point effort was a season high for the 23-year-old blueliner. He has delivered one goal and nine points in his last 11 games. Faber needs one more point to tie the career-high 47 he produced as a rookie in 2023-24.

Faber made an early impact with his goal at 3:46 of the first period, and he set up a Kirill Kaprizov empty-netter in the third as well.
