Daccord (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Daccord will be unavailable for at least the next three games after landing on the IR list, starting with Saturday's road matchup against the Blues. However, it remains unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. Daccord has a 6-2-3 record with one shutout, a 2.83 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 11 appearances this season. Philipp Grubauer will face St. Louis on Saturday, but Matt Murray should also play during Daccord's absence.

Daccord is undergoing evaluations for an upper-body injury, and it's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. Kraken's Joey Daccord: Pulled from Wednesday's loss
Daccord allowed five goals on 20 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Sharks.
Daccord received the hook after allowing a shorthanded goal to Ty Dellandrea at 3:24 of the third period. Matt Murray took over between the pipes and allowed the Sharks' sixth goal of the game. Wednesday marks the third time this year Daccord has allowed five goals, but he's been generally good while helping the Kraken stay near the top of the Pacific Division. The 29-year-old netminder is now 6-2-3 with a 2.83 GAA and a .900 save percentage over 11 starts. He made his sixth straight start, so it's safe to assume he'll get rest with a weekend back-to-back up next. The Kraken visit the struggling Blues on Saturday before heading to Dallas on Sunday.

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Tending twine against San Jose
Daccord was the first goalie off during Wednesday's morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Sharks.
Daccord has been relatively solid recently, going 3-0-2 with a 1.98 GAA and a .930 save percentage over his last five appearances. He'll draw his sixth consecutive start even though Seattle is still carrying three goaltenders on the roster. San Jose has averaged 3.23 goals per game to begin the season, which ranks 14th in the NHL.

Daccord stopped 29 of 30 shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Daccord bounced back after suffering OT losses in his previous two starts and cruised toward an easy win over Chicago. This was his fifth straight outing in which he didn't lose in regulation, going 3-0-2 with a 1.98 GAA and a strong .930 save percentage in that span. Daccord should remain a player worth starting in most slates given his excellent play of late. His next chance to slot between the pipes will come Wednesday in a favorable matchup against the Sharks, although after five starts in a row, it wouldn't be surprising if he gets some rest.

Daccord was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Circling Seattle Sports reports, signaling that he'll draw the home start against Chicago.
Daccord will draw a fifth consecutive start after going 2-0-2 with a 2.23 GAA and .920 save percentage over his last four outings. The Blackhawks have had a middling offense early in the regular season, averaging 3.17 goals per game.

Daccord has lost his last two games in overtime. While that's not ideal, he was about the only reason the Kraken snatched a standings point from Saturday's game, as they were outshot 27-13 by the Rangers. Daccord is now 5-1-3 with a 2.70 GAA and a .904 save percentage through nine starts. The Kraken's next two games are at home against up-and-coming squads as they host the Blackhawks on Monday and the Sharks on Wednesday. Considering Daccord has started four straight games, it may not be a bad time for the Kraken to go with Philipp Grubauer or Matt Murray, though the team has not revealed its goaltending plans for the four-game week ahead. It's probably safe to assume Daccord will start at least twice in that stretch.

Daccord allowed the first three goals of the game, and while the Kraken overcame that deficit, Cole Caufield got the best of him a second time in overtime. Aside from a spike in scoring in the third period, this was a fairly low-event game, which is reflected in the 21 shots Daccord faced, matching his season low. The Kraken host the low-scoring Rangers on Saturday, which would be a favorable matchup for Daccord should he draw the start.

Daccord followed up his shutout over Winnipeg on Thursday with another win against a Western Conference powerhouse.
