Zegras didn't hit the rookie wall in April, ending the campaign with seven goals and five assists in his last 13 games. The 21-year-old ended up at 23 tallies, 61 points (17 on the power play), 181 shots on net and a minus-21 rating in 75 outings overall. Zegras scored twice Saturday in a 5-3 win over the Flyers.
Zegras put the Ducks ahead 3-2 at 14:13 of the second when he one-timed a pass past Martin Jones on the power play. And then he broke a 3-3 tie at the 11:38 mark of the third with a skilled, but lucky goal. This was one for the highlight reels. Zegras first tried a between-the-legs shot that Karel Vejmelka kicked out. It went right back to Zegras, who picked the puck up on his stick and wrapped it around teammate Sonny Milano and into the net before Vejmelka knew what happened. There's been no shortage of jaw-dropping moments for Zegras this year, and he's up to 17 goals, 50 points, 153 shots on net and a minus-21 rating in 63 contests.
