Draft Scouting Report
Jared Wilson was a one-year starter vs. top competition who showed a lot of traits and promise to be a starting center based on this season. He’s a good athlete with strength at the point and a good understanding of the position. It seems as though he can play guard as well, which would add to his value at the next level.
- 2024: Zero sacks allowed in 475 pass-block snaps
- 2024: Second-team All-SEC
- Above-average athlete who can reach defensive tackles relatively easily and consistently and can create movement on combination blocks with good footwork, quickness and technique, with strong and good inside hand placement
- Strong anchor in protection vs. power and good feet to redirect stunts and twist when he keeps shoulders square
- Ability to redirect at the second level vs superior athletes in difficult, compromising situations
- Limited snaps and experience before this season with only 1,014 snaps at center. Injured two games in 2024
- Struggles some in obvious passing situations when 1-on-1 vs. a twitchy nose when they work one edge and finish on the other side
- Turns shoulders too much in protection at times and is susceptible to picks and games and defenders getting him and the guard on different levels
- 40-yard dash: 4.84 seconds
- Vertical jump: 32 inches
- 20-yard shuttle run: 4.56 seconds
- Broad jump: 9 feet, 4 inches

Patriots' Jared Wilson: Patriots add athletic Round 3 OL
The Patriots selected Wilson in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 95th overall.
Wilson is likely a bit underdeveloped after starting only one year at Georgia, but as a center he clearly has uncommon upside. Wilson (6-foot-3, 310 pounds) is both heavy by center standards yet exceedingly athletic, boasting a 4.84-second 40-yard dash. If Wilson's skill set develops and combines with his athleticism he could turn into a very good center.
