  • Jordan Lawlar CF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Rehab could move to Triple-A

Lawlar (hamstring) could shift his rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Lawlar has thus far made three rehab appearances at Double-A Amarillo, going a collective 1-for-10 with one stolen base and a 0:5 BB:K. He's yet to play a full nine-inning game, though he played six innings in center field Tuesday and seven innings in center Friday. Lawlar may need to play full games on back-to-back days during his rehab assignment before making his return from the 10-day injured list. He's been on the shelf since June 20 due to a right hamstring strain.

  • Andy Pages CF | LAD

Dodgers' Andy Pages: Homers in Friday's loss

Pages went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Pages has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 13-for-41 (.317) with two homers and six RBI in that span. The outfielder ran into some struggles in July, but he looks to have put those in the past. For the season, Pages is batting .268 with a .790 OPS, 19 homers, 75 RBI, 66 runs scored, 23 doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases over 115 contests.

  • Tim Tawa 1B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: Picks up steal in win

Tawa went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Tawa has played well in August, going 9-for-27 (.333) over seven games this month. He's added five RBI and a 1:7 BB:K while seeing the bulk of the playing time at first base, though Tyler Locklear and Ildemaro Vargas are also in the mix for time at the position. Tawa is batting .234 with a .686 OPS, six home runs, three steals, 26 RBI, 21 runs scored and eight doubles across 179 plate appearances this season, so his recent hot streak isn't likely to last the rest of the year.

  • Diamondbacks' Ryan Waldschmidt: Comes up clutch Friday

Waldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Waldschmidt was clutch Friday, taking Edwin Diaz deep for a walk-off blast in the ninth inning. Over six games in August, Waldschmidt has gone 7-for-20 (.350) as he makes a case to stay involved in the lineup even when Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Waldschmidt is batting .292 with a .748 OPS, two homers, 15 RBI, 22 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and six stolen bases over 51 contests this season. While the numbers are strong, the outfielder is benefiting from a .427 BABIP that has largely cancelled out his 32.0 percent strikeout rate.

  • Troy Johnston RF | COL

Rockies' Troy Johnston: Tallies two RBI

Johnston went 0-for-2 with two RBI on Friday against the Cardinals.

Johnston didn't have a great performance, but he did make a pair of productive outs. He grounded out in both the second and fourth innings with a runner on third base, marking his first RBI since July 21. Johnston is hitting just .140 across 14 games since the All-Star break, which has caused him to start losing playing time, as he's appeared in the lineup only 11 times in the team's last 18 contests.

  • Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Homer, steal in loss

Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Rays.

Rodriguez has gone 10-for-25 (.400) with two homers and two steals during his seven-game hitting streak. His blast Friday prevented the Mariners from getting shut out, but it came with two outs in the ninth inning. The outfielder is hitting .260 with a .752 OPS, 18 homers, 15 steals, 51 RBI, 54 runs scored and 16 doubles across 106 contests and is trending up in August, though the Mariners' meager offense could still make it tough for him to accumulate ample RBI.

  • Rays' Victor Mesa: Logs fifth steal

Mesa went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

Mesa has a pair of multi-hit efforts over his last two games after going 0-for-14 over the previous four contests. The outfielder's inconsistency at the plate will likely lead to him remaining in a strong-side platoon role in right field for the foreseeable future. Mesa is batting .219 with a .739 OPS, eight home runs, five steals, 18 RBI, 18 runs scored, three doubles and two triples over 155 plate appearances this season.

  • Jonny DeLuca RF | TB

Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Pops homer Friday

DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.

DeLuca has gone 5-for-18 with two homers and two stolen bases over his last five games. The outfielder plays regularly versus southpaws but isn't a pure bench bat against right-handers since Cedric Mullins continues to underwhelm at the plate. DeLuca is hitting .259 with a .732 OPS, eight homers, 12 steals, 34 RBI, 30 runs scored and 15 doubles over 228 plate appearances this season.

  • Mike Trout CF | LAA

Angels' Mike Trout: Birthday homer in Miami

Trout went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during the Angels' 4-3 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Trout opened Friday's scoring with a solo homer in the first inning, marking the sixth time he's hit a long ball on his birthday, tying Alex Rodriguez and Mark Reynolds for the major-league record, per Angels Senior Communications Manager Matt Birch. It was also Trout's first homer since July 8 and 19th of the year, bringing him one step closer to logging 20-plus home runs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2018-19.

  • Wilyer Abreu RF | BOS

Red Sox's Wilyer Abreu: Collects three RBI

Abreu went 2-for-2 with a walk, a double and three RBI during the Red Sox's 13-1 win over the Athletics on Friday.

Abreu capped off the Red Sox's five-run second inning with an RBI double to right field that was just a few feet short of clearing the wall for a three-run homer, and he added to Boston's lead with an RBI single in the seventh. Abreu has recorded at least one RBI over his last five outings and logged two hits in four of those games.
