Jaylon Tyson SF | CLE
Cavaliers' Jaylon Tyson: Team option picked up
The Cavaliers have exercised Tyson's fourth-year rookie-scale team option for the 2027-28 season, the team announced Tuesday.
Tyson enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign in 2025-26, averaging 13.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.8 steals in 26.9 minutes across 66 regular-season appearances (42 starts). The 23-year-old wing shot an impressive 44.6 percent from three-point range, the fourth-best mark in the NBA, and recorded eight games with at least 20 points, including a career-high 39 against Philadelphia on Jan. 16. Tyson's emergence as a reliable perimeter threat should keep him firmly in Cleveland's rotation entering his third season.

Wagner (shoulder) practiced in full Tuesday and is planning to play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Ron Holland PF | DET
Pistons' Ronald Holland: Team option picked up
The Pistons have exercised Holland's $11.5 million rookie-scale team option for the 2027-28 season, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
The move keeps the 2024 No. 5 overall pick under contract through his fourth NBA season. Holland will continue developing as part of Detroit's wing rotation in 2026-27, with his defensive versatility and ability to contribute offensively playing important roles in determining his playing time. The 21-year-old will become eligible for a rookie-scale contract extension in the summer of 2027.

Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Agrees to one-year extension with MIN

McDaniels will now be under contract with Minnesota through the 2029-30 season, earning $124 million over the life of his deal. The 26-year-old forward could see an uptick in usage this season with Julius Randle no longer around, and he'll be a reliable source of stocks, making him an attractive draft-day target.

Smith (calf) participated in practice Monday, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
