Thompson passed his physical and was activated off the active/PUP list Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It appears Thompson has fully recovered from the knee surgery he underwent during the offseason. The 28-year-old linebacker is coming off his third straight campaign with triple-digit tackles, and he figures to play a crucial role in Carolina's front seven again in 2022 (and perhaps push for low-end IDP production).
