Veras was suspended 72 games for using a performance enhancing substance, per Reds Assistant Director of Media Relations Jamie Ramsey.
Veras will have to sit out until midseason then prove he can still cut it in a major league bullpen at age 35. This puts a significant dent in his already waning hopes of finding a solid role in the big leagues.
