  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Perfect from field, tossed late

Harrell closed with 14 points (6-6 FG, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 20 minutes before getting ejected from Thursday's 128-101 win over the Magic.

Harrell, Robin Lopez and Admiral Schofield were tossed in the fourth quarter for a scene instigated by R.J. Hampton. A retaliator, Harrell's perfect night from the field was cut short, although he still managed to stuff the stat sheet and log a whopping plus-31 in the box score. Harrell will be back for Friday's contest against Chicago. He averaged 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two contests against the Bulls last season.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Posts 20 points in 20 minutes

Harrell contributed 20 points (7-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and six rebounds over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 116-106 win over the Hawks.

Coming off an underwhelming performance in Monday's win over Oklahoma City, Harrell responded with 20 points off the bench Wednesday to finish second on the team in scoring behind only LaMelo Ball (22 points). It was Harrell's first 20-point game since Feb. 25, and while he probably won't record many more of those this season, it was definitely encouraging from a fantasy perspective coming off Monday's dud. He'll look to bring the same energy to Saturday's matchup with Dallas.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Struggles to produce Monday

Harrell recorded five points (1-2 FG, 3-3 FT), two assists and one block over 18 minutes during Monday's 134-116 win over the Thunder.

Harrell had arguably his worst game since joining the Hornets, barely scraping the surface in terms of fantasy value. Outside of a couple of strong performances when he was first traded, things have been trending in the wrong direction. Over the past two weeks, he is averaging just 10.5 points per game, to go with 5.5 rebounds and basically nothing else. His one-dimensional game is not conducive to fantasy value, so barring a major shift in direction by the Hornets, managers can certainly do better in 12-team leagues.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Efficient effort off bench

Harrell scored 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-4 FT) while adding six rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 123-117 win over the Spurs.

While Mason Plumlee got the start at center and led the Hornets with 13 boards, Harrell was playing his usual energy role from the second unit and scored in double digits for the second straight game without seeing more than 17 minutes of court time. The 28-year-old is capable of bigger numbers when he gets the minutes, but Charlotte's crowded frontcourt puts a firm cap on Harrell's workload when the team's key big men are all healthy.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Double-doubles off bench

Harrell racked up 20 points (9-12 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists over 23 minutes during Friday's 125-93 victory over the Raptors.

Harrell has scored in double figures in all five games since joining Charlotte, including back-to-back 20-plus point outings. He also notched his first double-double with his new squad Friday and just his sixth of the campaign. As a member of the Hornets, Harrell has averaged 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 30.2 minutes per game. He figures to be an integral part of coach James Borrego's rotation for the final month and a half of the regular season.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Booms in heartbreaker

Harrell accumulated 24 points (9-16 FG, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 43 minutes during Thursday's 111-107 double-overtime loss to the Heat.

Mason Plumlee started, but he played only 14 minutes -- ceding most of his role to Harrell. In a defining play, with the game tied, Harrell missed a free throw at the end of the first overtime which could have won the game. Overall, Harrell trailed only Miles Bridges in scoring and is developing strong chemistry with LaMelo Ball, and he appears locked into a substantial role. Even when Gordon Hayward (ankle) ultimately returns, Harrell provides a service of his own to shareholders.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Delivers scoring, blocks off bench

Harrell posted 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 34 minutes Tuesday in the Hornets' 126-120 overtime loss to the Timberwolves.

Head coach James Borrego has been running streamlined rotations since Gordon Hayward (ankle) suffered a significant injury last week, and while the newly acquired Harrell isn't a direct replacement, he's assumed some of the minutes that have become available. Since he was traded from the Wizards to the Hornets last Thursday, Harrell is averaging 15.7 points (on 70.4 percent shooting from the field), 7.3 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals in 28.3 minutes per contest. He's worth holding in 12-team leagues for fantasy managers looking for help in points, rebounds and field-goal percentage.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Big night in second game with CHA

Harrell supplied 20 points (7-8 FG, 6-9 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes during Saturday's 125-118 loss to the Grizzlies.

After posting 15 points, six rebounds, one steal and one block in his Hornets debut Friday at Detroit, Harrell had another impressive performance in 29 minutes off the bench. Through his first two games in Charlotte, Harrell is now a combined 14-of-17 from the field, though he's just 7-of-14 at the free throw line. How the minutes break down between Harrell, Mason Plumlee (30 minutes Saturday) and P.J. Washington (23) will be something to monitor over the next several games.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Scores 15 in debut

Harrell debuted with the Hornets on Friday and tallied 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 22 minutes in a 141-119 victory over the Pistons.

Harrell did a little bit of everything in his debut and was part of the team's eight-man rotation sans Gordon Hayward (ankle). He played the same amount of minutes as starting center, Mason Plumlee, which figures to continue being relatively close as the season progresses. The veteran big man will look to continue integrating himself in the Hornets' system going forward.

  • Hornets' Montrezl Harrell: Available off bench

Harrell (recently traded) will come off the bench Friday against the Pistons, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Harrell will presumably be the first big off the pine for coach James Borrego. He may end up competing with Mason Plumlee for the starting spot.
