49ers' Jake Brendel: Back with 49ers on four-year pact
Brendel and the 49ers agreed to terms on a four-year contract Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Brendel became a full-time starter as a 30-year-old last season, making all 17 starts at center after logging just three career starts prior to 2022. It's a big re-signing for the Niners after they reportedly lost stalwart RT Mike McGlinchey to the Broncos on Monday.

Brendel was cut by San Francisco ahead of Tuesday's roster deadline but re-signed with the team a day later. The 28-year-old opted out of the 2020 campaign and should provide depth at center for the 49ers.

Brendel has opted out of the 2020 season, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
The journeyman center spent time in Dallas, Miami, Denver and Baltimore before signing a contract with the 49ers earlier this year. He is the third member of the 49ers to opt out of the season.

After Matt Skura was placed on injured reserve with a significant knee injury, the Ravens needed to add depth to their offensive line. Signing Brendel achieves that, but the 27-year-old center isn't expected to feature prominently with Baltimore.

Brendel signed a contract with the Broncos on Thursday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Brendel participated in the team's minicamp this week on a tryout basis and evidently did enough to presumably stick around for the rest of the offseason. He'll compete for a depth role along the offensive line.
