Kazee was arrested Tuesday in The Colony, Texas and was charged with driving under the influence, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Kazee was pulled over for a traffic stop and failed a field sobriety test, which resulted in his arrest. The 28-year-old will likley face some discipline from the NFL for the incident, though it's unclear if/when that decision will come down from the league office. Kazee has 17 tackles (13 solo), an interception and a forced fumble through six games this season as the Cowboys head into their bye week.
Kazee (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Kazee was sidelined for most of the week but logged a limited practice Friday. That will be enough for him to take the field Sunday and serve as the team's starting free safety. Through five games, Kazee has recorded 14 tackles, three passes defended and one interception.
The Cowboys have listed Kazee (hip) as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Patriots, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Kazee was a non-participant at practice for consecutive days to kick off the week before logging a limited workload Friday. While that seemingly indicates he is trending in the right direction, it remains to be seen if he will ultimately be able to suit up. Malik Hooker would be the next man up to replace him at free safety if he is unable to go.

The offseason acquisition was limited both Thursday and Friday, but he ultimately won't be an addition to the Cowboys' list of absent defensive starters for Sunday's interconference tilt. Kazee figures to have a busy afternoon trying to contain a potent Chargers passing game, particularly with fellow safety Donovan Wilson (groin) one of the aforementioned players who will be out of action.
