Saints' Kaden Elliss: Won't play against Atlanta
Elliss (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Falcons, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Elliss will miss his first game of the 2026 season due to a calf injury. Pete Werner (neck) is also listed as questionable, so the Saints may have to start Danny Stutsman and Isaiah Stalbird at inside linebacker for Monday's NFC South showdown. Elliss' next opportunity to play is Week 5 against the Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Saints' Kaden Elliss: DNP again Friday
Elliss (calf) did not participate in Friday's practice.
Elliss has now missed consecutive sessions due to a calf injury. The linebacker has one more opportunity to log a limited practice Saturday. If Elliss cannot get on the field for at least one prep session, the odds of the 31-year-old suiting up for Monday night's game against the Falcons are close to zero.

Elliss recorded six tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 24-17 win at Baltimore.

Saints' Kaden Elliss: Records three QB hits in Week 1 loss
Elliss posted nine tackles (three solo) and one pass defense during the Saints' 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Elliss was also credited with three hits on Lions quarterback Jared Goff, though the former was unable to log a sack in Sunday's regular-season opener. Elliss was one of four Saints players to play all 77 defensive snaps, and he finished as the team's second-leading tackler behind Jonas Sanker (10). Elliss inked a three-year, $33 million contract with New Orleans in March and is a key piece to the team's defensive unit alongside Sanker, Cameron Jordan (hamstring), Carl Granderson and Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Saints' Kaden Elliss: Back to NOLA
Elliss agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year, $33 million contract with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Elliss played nearly every defensive snap for the Falcons over the past three seasons, piling up at least 107 tackles each year while totaling 12.5 sacks and two interceptions in that stretch. Now, he'll return to the team that drafted him in the seventh round back in 2019. The 30-year-old is set to receive $23 million guaranteed, which puts him in a strong position to start at inside linebacker next to Pete Werner in 2026.
