Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: No practice to start week
Mostert (ankle/knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Mostert was listed with the same pair of injuries last week and ended up taking 20 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-13 win over the Jets. He'll likely be able to play again this Sunday against the Commanders, though there's a chance he'll have to share some of the snaps at running back with De'Von Achane, who has been listed as a limited practice participant since injuring his knee in a Week 11 win over Las Vegas. Achane sat out the Week 12 victory over the Jets but isn't expected to require another long-term absence.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Adds two rushing TDs, up to 13
Mostert rushed 20 times for 94 yards and two touchdowns while failing to catch his only target in Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets.
With De'Von Achane (knee) inactive for the fifth time in the last six games, Mostert handled 20 of Miami's 33 carries by running backs. He was quiet for most of the game but got going late after New York's defense wore down. Mostert scored from 13 yards out in the fourth quarter, giving him sole possession of the league lead with 12 rushing touchdowns, then bolstered that total with a 34-yard touchdown two drives later. Achane was close to suiting up for Friday's game, so he'll likely be available to split carries with Mostert against the Commanders in Week 13.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Should remain lead back sans Achane
Mostert is expected to serve as the Dolphins' clear lead back Friday against the Jets while De'Von Achane (knee) is inactive for the contest.
In the three games before Achane landed on injured reserve Oct. 11, he and Mostert had been splitting work out of the backfield. Mostert proceeded to see more than 50 percent of the snaps on offense and averaged 13.8 touches while Achane was sidelined over the subsequent four contests, and he then handled a 78 percent snap share and 22 carries - both season highs - with Achane being limited to just three snaps in his return to action in this past Sunday's win over Las Vegas. With Achane back on the sideline for Week 12 and with another running back in Salvon Ahmed (foot) ruled out for the season, Jeff Wilson should step in as the Dolphins' No. 2 option after being inactive last week. Mostert still appears likely to dominate the backfield work for as long as Friday's contest remains competitive.
