Dolphins' Justin Zimmer: Heads to IR
The Dolphins placed Zimmer (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday.
Zimmer wasn't listed on Miami's Week 17 injury report, but he nonetheless finds himself on IR, which almost certainly will end his campaign unless the team makes the AFC Championship Game. In five appearances for the Dolphins this season, he tallied one tackle while playing five snaps on defense and 40 snaps on special teams.

Justin Zimmer: Works out with the Bills
Zimmer tried out for the Bills on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Zimmer's recent workout for Buffalo suggests he's moved past the season-ending knee injury he suffered last November. The 29-year-old defensive tackle will now wait for another opportunity in the NFL after he spent the last four seasons with Atlanta (2018-19), Cleveland (2019) and Buffalo (2020-21).

Bills' Justin Zimmer: Out for season
Zimmer (knee) was placed on injured reserve Thursday and will miss the remainder of the season.
Zimmer's knee injury will require season-ending surgery. This injury will hurt Buffalo's defensive line depth as the backup defensive tackle normally accounted for around 40 percent of defensive snaps. Star Lotulelei and Harrison Phillips and perhaps Vernon Butler will have to step into a bigger role in Zimmer's absence.

Bills' Justin Zimmer: Won't play Sunday
Zimmer (foot) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins.
Zimmer was able to log a full practice Friday, but he will still be held out of Sunday's matchup with Miami. Harrison Phillips will likely see an uptick in snaps during Zimmer's absence.

Bills' Justin Zimmer: Gets questionable tag
Zimmer (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Zimmer upped his workload to full Friday after being limited both Wednesday and Thursday, so we'd imagine the depth defensive lineman is on the better side of questionable. Zimmer isn't much of an IDP factor with just eight tackles and a sack through six games, but he's a key depth guy for one of the league's better defenses, playing at least 37 percent of the defensive snaps in all six games to date.
