Samson Nacua: Waived by Saints
The Saints waived Nacua on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Puka's brother went undrafted back in 2022 and has yet to appear in a NFL regular-season game. He nearly returned a missed field goal for a touchdown with the Saints this preseason but didn't show much as a wide receiver.

Saints' Samson Nacua: Nearly return miss FG for TD
Nacua failed to catch either of his two targets during Sunday's 30-27 preseason loss to the Titans. He also returned a missed field-goal attempt for 106 yards.
Nacua nearly pulled off the highlight of the preseason when he returned a 58-yard field-goal try that fell short of the uprights at the end of the first half. The 26-year-old evaded almost every would-be tackler on his way to the end zone, but he was pushed out of bounds by Titans tight end Thomas Odukoya just nine yards shy of the goal line. Nacua has been competing for a fringe roster spot with the Saints this preseason, and an extreme effort play like this could help him stand out with the team ahead of Tuesday's deadline to get down to a final 53-man roster. However, with no regular-season playing time in his career, it's likely that Nacua will be on the outside looking in while more experienced veterans like Cedrick Wilson and/or Equanimeous St. Brown snag the final roster spots alongside recent draft picks like A.T. Perry and Bub Means.

Saints' Samson Nacua: Signed by New Orleans
Nacua was signed by the Saints on Friday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Nacua hasn't seen action in the NFL since competing in Indianapolis' training camp after being signed by the team as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 draft. The older brother of Puka Nacua will likely compete for a reserve spot in the Saints' wide receiver room.

Samson Nacua: Let go by Colts
The Colts waived Nacua on Tuesday.
Nacua was one of several wide receivers to join the Colts as undrafted free agents earlier in the offseason. He caught two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown during the preseason but was unable to make the 53-man roster.
