Allen rushed 24 times for 116 yards and a touchdown while catching one of four targets for no gain in Sunday's 17-12 win over the Browns.
Allen ran in the go-ahead 22-yard touchdown with 3:01 remaining, and the Jets' defense held twice after that to secure the team's second win of the season. The 2024 fourth-round pick handled lead-back duties for the second consecutive game in the absence of Breece Hall (quadriceps), notching 25 touches to Isaiah Davis' three. After reaching 100 rushing yards in a game for the first time in his career, Allen would be in line for another substantial workload in Week 6 against the Patriots if Hall remains sidelined.

Jets' Braelon Allen: Will be RB1 again for Week 5
Allen will once again operate as the Jets' top running back for Sunday's game against the Browns due to the absence of Breece Hall (quadriceps).
Hall will miss a second consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury, and the star running back has yet to be cleared to return to practice. As such, Allen will be the Jets' RB1 against Cleveland, with Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu providing backfield depth. Allen was the starter for the Jets' Week 4 loss to the Bears, when he turned 14 carries into 59 yards and added two catches (on as many targets) for eight yards.

Allen rushed 14 times for 59 yards and caught both of his targets for eight yards in Sunday's 23-12 loss to the Bears.
Allen accounted for all 14 of the Jets' rushing attempts in the absence of Breece Hall (quadriceps), who is considered week-to-week. The Bears dominated time of possession as Geno Smith completed just eight passes in the loss. If Hall isn't ready to return in Week 5 against the Browns, Allen would retain the lead role in the backfield for the Jets.

Jets' Braelon Allen: Set for more work with Hall injured
Allen and Isaiah Davis will man the Jets backfield for as long as Breece Hall (thigh) is potentially sidelined, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Hall exited in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss at Detroit due to a thigh injury, and afterward he relayed that he "felt something" while running, per Brian Costello of the New York Post. Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter of ESPN then reported Monday that Hall is considered week-to-week. While Hall hasn't outright been ruled out for Week 4 or beyond, Allen currently ranks second on the team in carries with 19, which have gone for 61 yards, while Davis hasn't logged an offensive snap through three contests to begin the season. As a result, Allen is the better bet to take advantage of an absent Hall, if that comes to pass.

Allen rushed 10 times for 40 yards in the Jets' 23-10 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Allen failed to secure his lone target in the pass game. With Breece Hall past his groin issue, he operated as the clear RB1 in a workhorse role, rushing 22 times for 102 yards and one touchdown while adding two catches for 16 yards. Hall out-snapped Allen 39 to 27, cementing the former as an RB2 with RB1 upside for fantasy, especially if the Jets can get into positive game scripts like they had in Tennessee on Sunday. Allen is an upper-tier fantasy bench stash at the position.

Allen is listed second on the Jets' unofficial depth chart behind Breece Hall.
Allen worked with the starters for most of the preseason while Hall was sidelined by a groin injury. Hall practiced without limitations Wednesday, as did Isaiah Davis (knee), who is listed third on the team's unofficial depth chart. Allen is listed at 235 pounds and has reportedly bulked up to around 250.
