Packers' Christian Watson: Ready for Week 7
Watson (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Detroit, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Watson was listed as limited on all three of Green Bay's Week 7 injury reports due to an ankle issue, but it won't stop him from being available Sunday. Both he and Matthew Golden (shoulder) are in the clear ahead of the weekend, meaning QB Jordan Love will have his top pass catchers at his disposal for the divisional matchup.

Packers' Christian Watson: Stays limited Thursday
Watson (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Watson now has logged a limited walkthrough and a capped practice to kick off Week 7 prep as he tends to an ankle issue. Head coach Matt LaFleur downplayed Watson's injury Thursday, telling Demovsky that he has no concerns about Watson and fellow WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) for Sunday's game in Detroit. Having said that, Watson may still be tagged with a designation when the Packers post their final practice report of the week Friday.

Packers' Christian Watson: Coach confident he'll play Sunday
Head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that the team has no concern regarding Watson's (ankle) availability for Sunday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
LaFleur said the same thing about Matthew Golden (shoulder) after Green Bay's top two wide receivers were both limited participants at Wednesday's practice. Watson may continue to have his practice reps monitored, but he isn't in any danger of sitting out Sunday's matchup against Detroit's struggling secondary.

Packers' Christian Watson: Tending to ankle issue
Watson was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate due to an ankle injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Not only was Watson listed as limited, but so were QB Jordan Love (back) and WR Matthew Golden (back), among others. The situation thus leaves the Packers offense in a bit of flux as the team begins Week 7 prep, but two practices remain for each one to play itself out before Green Bay potentially tags any of them with designations for Sunday's game in Detroit.

Packers' Christian Watson: Plays second fiddle to Golden in win
Watson caught three of eight targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Cowboys.
Watson was held without a touchdown for only the second time this season while tying tight end Tucker Kraft for second on the team in targets, five behind Matthew Golden. The wide receiver duo of Golden and Watson has accounted for the majority of Green Bay's offensive production this season. Watson needs just 82 receiving yards to match his career high of 620, which the oft-injured wideout set during the 2024 regular season. He'll have a nice opportunity to reach that mark in Week 7 against a Lions defense that has struggled in coverage.

Packers' Christian Watson: Stellar two-TD performance in win
Watson brought in six of eight targets for 143 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 31-7 win over the Bears on Sunday.
Watson tied for the team lead in receptions with Matthew Golden while setting the pace in both receiving yards and targets. Golden struck for the first of his two touchdowns with a 42-yard grab that capped off Green Bay's 10-play opening drive. The veteran field-stretcher then added a 53-yard touchdown reception to put a stamp on the Packers' first drive of the second half, and Watson ultimately finished just five yards short of eclipsing the season-high 147 he mustered in Week 1 against the Vikings. Watson will take a 26-474-6 line into a Week 6 home showdown against the Cowboys next Sunday night.

Packers' Christian Watson: Paces team in receiving yards
Watson secured all three targets for 47 yards in the Packers' 17-14 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Watson led the Packers in receiving yards on an afternoon when Jordan Love threw for only 197 yards. The speedy wideout's reception, receiving yardage and target totals were all season lows, but Watson has still enjoyed a productive start to the campaign with a 20-331-4 line on 32 targets and good health throughout. Watson and the Packers' air attack as a whole will look for a boost in production at the expense of the division-rival Bears in a Week 5 home matchup next Sunday.
