Boettger was placed on injured reserve Monday after suffering an Achilles in injury in Sunday's win over the Patriots, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Bills' Ike Boettger: Injures Achilles
Boettger (Achilles) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Patriots, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Getzenberg reports that the initial diagnosis is a ruptured Achilles, which would knock Boettger out for the remainder of the season. Boettger started the contest at left guard in place of Jon Feliciano, who was sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols. Bills' Ike Boettger: Exits camp due to COVID-19
General manager Brandon Beane announced Wednesday that Boettger and fellow lineman Dion Dawkins have tested positive for COVID-19 and won't be allowed at the team facility until they pass all protocols, Dante Lasting of the Bills' official site reports.
Boettger is thought to have a decent grasp on a reserve spot for the Bills, but his absence to begin camp isn't ideal for a player that's not guaranteed a job with a contending team. Boettger has never been considered a top lineman after going undrafted out of Iowa in 2018, but he proved valuable to the Bills in starting seven regular-season games and all three playoff games in 2020 when injuries struck down some of the Bills' starters.
