Top Viliami Fehoko News

  • Viliami Fehoko: Gets look from Washington

The Commanders hosted Fehoko (undisclosed) for a workout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The 2023 fourth-round pick suffered an unspecified injury during training camp and was placed on injured reserve by the Cowboys in late August. The two sides were able to reach an injury settlement in early September, allowing Fehoko -- once fully healthy -- the opportunity to sign with a team in need of offensive line depth.

  • Viliami Fehoko: Reaches injury settlement

Fehoko (undisclosed) was waived after reaching an injury settlement with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Fehoko suffered an undisclosed injury in the preseason and he was placed on injured reserve by the Cowboys on Wednesday. The defensive lineman will now have the opportunity to pass a physical and play elsewhere in 2024.

  • Cowboys' Viliami Fehoko: Moved to injured reserve

The Cowboys reverted Fehoko (undisclosed) to IR on Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

It's not clear what type of issue Fehoko is currently dealing with, but he spent over a month last season on IR due to a knee injury. The defensive lineman was waived/injured by Dallas on Monday and subsequently cleared waivers. If he doesn't reach an injury settlement with the team, Fehoko will spend all of the 2024 campaign on injured reserve.

  • Viliami Fehoko: Dropped by Dallas

The Cowboys waived Fehoko (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of San Jose State has been waived without ever appearing in a game for the Cowboys. Fehoko recorded 41 total tackles, including 9.0 sacks and an additional 10 tackles for loss, across 12 outings during his final collegiate season in 2022. If Fehoko clears waivers, he'll revert to the Cowboys' injured reserve list and miss all of 2024 unless the two parties reach an injury settlement at some point this season.

  • Cowboys' Viliami Fehoko: Returns to active roster

Fehoko (knee) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday.

Fehoko has yet to suit up with the Cowboys this season despite not landing on IR until Nov. 18. The rookie was on the last day of his 21-day practice window, so if Dallas did not activate him, he would have been forced to miss the remainder of the season.

  • Cowboys' Viliami Fehoko: Designated to return from IR

The Cowboys designated Fehoko (knee) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.

Fehoko went on IR on Nov. 18 due to a knee injury, and he's since sat out the required number of games to be eligible to return. The rookie defensive end had yet to play in a regular-season game prior to landing on injured reserve, and it's uncertain if he'll get the opportunity to do so if he is activated prior to the close of his 21-day practice window. Fehoko was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, so he appears to be back to full health.

  • Cowboys' Viliami Fehoko: Placed on IR

The Cowboys placed Fehoko (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Fehoko appeared on the injury report this week due to a knee issue, but he was able to log a trio of full practice sessions during Week 11 prep. Nevertheless, the rookie has now landed on IR and will need to miss at least four games. The move created space on the active roster for Dallas to sign linebacker Rashaan Evans off its practice squad.
