  • Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Just 22 yards on nine targets

Mingo caught two of nine targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Saints.

Mingo led the Panthers in targets but didn't do much with the volume, though much of the blame lies with quarterback Bryce Young's inaccuracy. Young's frequent misfires included a deep ball on which Mingo got behind the coverage for what should have been a long touchdown late in the first half. Mingo has at least six targets in each of the last five games, but the 2023 second-round draft pick is still searching for his first NFL touchdown heading into a Week 15 clash with the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Career-best performance Sunday

Mingo caught six of 10 targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Buccaneers.

The rookie wideout was the Panthers' leading receiver as he reached 60 yards for the third time in the last six games while setting new career highs in catches and targets. Mingo's been far from consistent -- in the other three games over that stretch, he managed just five catches for 31 yards total -- but it's encouraging that he saw significant volume in interim head coach Chris Tabor's first game in charge. Mingo's value appears to be on the upswing heading into a Week 14 clash with the Saints.

  • Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Cleared for Sunday

Mingo (Achilles) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Mingo was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant with what now appears to be a minor Achilles issue. He returned to full participation Friday and figures to occupy his usual role as a starting wide receiver, hoping to build on the modest success of his 4-60-0 receiving line from Week 12 amidst what's otherwise been an unproductive and inefficient rookie season.

  • Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Dealing with Achilles issue

Mingo was limited at Thursday's practice due to an Achilles injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Mingo is making a sudden appearance on Carolina's Week 13 practice report, leaving his status up in the air ahead of Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not he goes into the weekend with an injury designation.

  • Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Paces Carolina's pass catchers

Mingo recorded four receptions on six targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.

Mingo had one of his more productive games of the season, with the majority of his yardage coming on long receptions of 24 and 22 yards. That doubled his reception total of more than 20 yards this season, and it also was the second time in his last five contests that he's reached 60 yards. Mingo may find it difficult to produce consistently given the quarterback play in Carolina, but he seems to be taking positive steps in the second half of his rookie campaign.
