Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Exits with concussion
Mingo (concussion) won't return to Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Mingo caught three of six targets for 21 yards from Andy Dalton before getting hurt, but the 2023 second-round pick will join fellow injured rookie Bryce Young (ankle) on the sidelines for the remainder of Sunday's game. Mingo will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to play in Week 4 against the Vikings.

Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: High target count
Mingo caught three of eight targets for 26 yards in Monday night's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
Mingo had a catch of 22 yards, marking Carolina's longest passing play of the game. Although he hardly gained any yardage on his other two grabs, Mingo's eight targets trailed only Adam Thielen among Panthers pass-catchers. That share of looks came despite No. 2 wideout DJ Chark making his season debut, which should boost optimism over Mingo's usage as his rookie campaign progresses.

Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Makes two grabs
Mingo caught two of five targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.
Mingo made a small impact in his NFL debut, which isn't surprising considering quarterback Bryce Young passed for just 146 yards. With DJ Chark (hamstring) out, Mingo played 87 percent of Carolina's offensive snaps, working alongside Adam Thielen and Terrace Marshall at wideout. The rookie's outlook would figure to take a slight hit if Chark returns for Week 2's matchup versus the Saints.

Panthers' Jonathan Mingo: Set for big role with Chark out
Mingo is slated to take on an expanded role in his NFL debut Sunday against the Falcons, as fellow wide receiver DJ Chark (hamstring) was ruled out Friday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Adam Thielen (ankle) is questionable, leaving Mingo as the top fully healthy wide receiver for the Panthers heading into Week 1. This will also be the first NFL start for rookie quarterback Bryce Young, whom the Panthers traded up to draft first overall in 2023 before selecting Mingo in the second round, 39th overall.
