Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Finishes career with three shots on goal
Sedin recorded three shots on goal during his final NHL game against the Oilers on Saturday. Edmonton won in a shootout, 3-2.
After his brother scored to open the shootout, Sedin couldn't beat Cam Talbot on his shootout attempt, which was the final act of his brilliant NHL career. This season was a rough one, though, as Sedin only posted three goals and a minus-22 rating. His shot attempts were way down, but his shooting percentage was also a career-low 4.5 percent. He also possessed a minus-49 rating in his final two seasons combined. On a positive note, his 47 assists did keep him respectable in the points category this season. Sedin ends his career with 240 goals and 1,070 points in 1,329 games.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Sets up two goals in final home game
Sedin dished out two assists in his final game in Vancouver on Thursday against Arizona.
It was a fitting finish for Henrik, who set up brother Daniel for two goals, including the overtime winner. The multi-point performance comes just three days after the Sedin twins announced they would be retiring from the NHL. Henrik has been a prolific fantasy producer throughout his career and is worth getting in your lineup for his final NHL game Saturday against the Oilers.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Announces retirement
Sedin -- along with his brother Daniel -- will hang up his skates following the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Sedin twins spent their entire NHL careers playing for Vancouver after being drafted second and third overall in the 1999 NHL Draft. It's been a disappointing year for Henrik, as he has been limited to just three goals (the lowest of his career), but still managed to tally 48 points. The center will retire with 240 goals and 828 helpers -- excluding whatever he might tally in the Canucks' final three games -- which puts him first in franchise history for assists, as well as games played.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Ends 56-game goalless drought
Sedin ended a 56-game goalless drought Thursday against Chicago, scoring his third goal of the season and adding an assist in a dominant victory.
While Sedin hadn't found the back of the net since November, the Vancouver captain still has 45 points in 74 games on the season. The veteran center is still a decent source of fantasy production, but this was just his first appearance on the scoresheet in nine games and he hasn't been shooting much. Know what you're getting with Sedin, who is now 37 years of age and no longer supplying offense like he once did.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Picks up assist
Sedin garnered an assist in Wednesday's overtime loss to the Rangers.
Sedin has garnered a helper in four straight games, but he's still bogged down in a 46-game goal drought that dates back to Nov. 14. In fact, the veteran has just two goals on the year, but has managed 40 assists and a 14th consecutive 40-plus point campaign. For fantasy owners not concerned about goals, the Swede can still offer decent value.

Sedin logged an assist during a 6-0 victory over Dallas on Sunday.
The 37-year-old now has helpers in two of his last three, but is still on a 38-game goalless drought -- the last time he scored was Nov. 14 against Los Angeles. Although Sedin has always been more known for his assist-making ability, he's also not firing the puck very often, and only has 48 shots on goal through 56 games this season. Additionally, his streak of 13 consecutive seasons with 10 or more goals is certainly in danger, as he only sits at two goals through 56 games. With his presence locked onto Vancouver's first power-play unit, Sedin should continue to rack up assists, but a drastic increase in goals seems unlikely with his pass-first mentality.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Hoping for another NHL contract
Henrik and Daniel Sedin hope to play one more season, reports Sportsnet.ca. The twins are set to become unrestricted free agents this summer.
It was widely assumed this would be the 37-year-olds' last season. "While there hasn't been discussions yet with the Canucks about an extension, the belief is they both want to be back for an 18th NHL season," said Sportsnet.ca's Chris Johnston on CBC's Saturday Headlines. Henrik sat third in team scoring with 32 points, including 30 helpers, heading into Saturday night's game and clearly has something left in the tank.

Sedin recorded two assists during Friday's 5-2 win over Columbus.
Sedin has now recorded five helpers during a four-game assist streak and is up to 31 points through 44 contests for the campaign. However, with just two goals, 34 shots and a minus-10 rating, the veteran center is a one-trick pony at this stage of his career. Outside of points-only formats, Sedin's fantasy value is severely capped.

Sedin is now riding a five-game point streak in which he's collected eight assists. He's only found the back of the net twice, but it's hard to complain about his 25 points through 35 contests. The veteran is barely shooting the puck, but it's his slick playmaking ability that makes him valuable in fantasy. His steady production makes him a safe fantasy bet whenever the Canucks are in action.

Sedin and his twin brother Daniel had three assists apiece during the victory. This was Henrik's second three-assist night since Nov. 30, and although he hasn't scored in more than a month, Sedin has 15 points in the last 13 games (all helpers). That makes him particularly useful in roto leagues where helpers stand as a counting category.

Sedin picked up his 800th career assist in Wednesday's loss to Nashville.
Rookie sensation Brock Boeser has been a nice addition to the Sedin line, as Henrik has picked up helpers in back-to-back outings. The veteran center is proving he's still a valuable fantasy player, managing two goals and 19 points in 32 games on the season. He's no longer an elite offensive producer, but Sedin is showing there's still gas left in the tank. The top-line center should continue producing at a solid rate with Boeser as his linemate both at even strength and on the power play.

Henrik has ramped up his production of late, managing eight points (all assists) in his last six contests. The second-line center remains a decent fantasy option with two goals and 15 points through the first 26 games of the season. His playmaking ability and role on the first power-play unit assure that the production should continue at a steady rate for the rest of the year. There's still plenty of gas left in the tank and he's showing that in this recent stretch.

One of the assists came with the man advantage, where Sedin plays on the top unit alongside rising young star Brock Boeser. Sedin's nine points through 21 games are nothing special, but he's still a threat with the man advantage and should rack up a decent point total. The 37-year-old isn't as consistent as he once was, but Sedin can still fill the scoresheet every now then and is a capable offensive producer.

Sedin scored his second goal of the season and added an assist in Tuesday's win over the Kings.
Sedin has now collected three points in his last five games, bringing him to seven points in 18 contests on the season. The 37-year-old saw just 13:25 of ice time Tuesday as his role with Vancouver is slowly diminishing, but he showed against the Kings he's still capable of being an offensive contributor. The skills and power-play time are there for Sedin to at least be of value in some deeper leagues.

Sedin scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's win over the Flames.
It took 15 games, but Sedin was finally able to cash in on a beautiful pass from his brother and find the back of the net. Henrik has now gotten on the scoresheet in back-to-back contests and is up to five points in 15 games. He's no longer producing at the rates he once was, but Sedin is centering the second line and seeing power-play-time, so he should keep creating offense. Now that he's got his first goal, look for the points to come in at a more consistent rate.

Sedin played just 8:52 in Saturday's win over the Penguins.
It was his lowest ice time of the season thus far, as the Canucks are clearly putting their trust in their rising young stars such as Brock Boeser and Bo Horvat. Sedin is stuck on just three assists through 13 contests and is no longer being relied on as a primary offensive contributor. The veteran is better than his statistics show and is still centering the first power-play unit, but you should probably lower your expectations for him and his brother.

Canucks' Henrik Sedin: Struggling to get on scoresheet
Sedin has managed just one assist in his last six games.
The veteran has yet to find the back of the net this season and is stuck on three points. He's been playing pretty well, however, and the addition of Jake Virtanen to the top line appears to be working. It's obvious Sedin isn't the 100-point guy he once was, but he's better than what the stat sheet is showing so far this season. Sedin is still playing on the first power play and generating chances, so look for the production to pick up soon.
