Jets' Adonai Mitchell: One-catch game following breakout
Mitchell caught one of six targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins.
Mitchell cooled off after his breakout performance against the Falcons in the previous game, though he wasn't helped by subpar quarterback play from third-stringer Brady Cook, who replaced Tyrod Taylor (groin) in the first half. Mitchell caught eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta but has caught only four of 19 targets for 76 yards across three other appearances for the Jets. His target volume has been encouraging, but the inconsistent wide receiver's floor will remain low in Week 15 against the Jaguars, especially if the Jets start Cook or Justin Fields (knee) under center.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Breaks out with 102 yards, TD
Mitchell caught eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Falcons.
Mitchell burned Mike Hughes for a 52-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and the 23-year-old wide receiver drew a 27-yard pass interference penalty on A.J. Terrell in the first quarter, in addition to accounting for 102 of Tyrod Taylor's 172 passing yards. The Jets acquired Mitchell from the Colts along with two first-round picks for Sauce Gardner, who suffered a calf injury Sunday against the Texans. Indianapolis' 2024 second-round pick has drawn 25 targets in three games with the Jets while increasing his receiving yard totals from 10 yards to 42 to 102. Mitchell has shown promising ability to create separation despite drops and inconsistent quarterback play weighing down his effectiveness, making him an intriguing Week 14 fantasy option, even against a Dolphins secondary that has been stingy against wide receivers.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Catches just two of seven targets
Mitchell caught two of seven targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Ravens.
Mitchell has caught three of 13 targets in two appearances for the Jets. The 2024 second-round pick of the Colts is getting more opportunities with his new team after being included alongside two first-round draft picks in the trade that sent Sauce Gardner to Indianapolis, but Mitchell has struggled to convert his chances into production so far. Mitchell should continue to see significant playing time in Week 13 against the Falcons, as the Jets will remain without top wideout Garrett Wilson (knee), who is on injured reserve until at least Week 15.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: One catch in Jets debut
Mitchell secured one of six targets for 10 yards in the Jets' 27-14 loss to the Patriots on Thursday night.
Mitchell surprisingly led the Jets in targets in his team debut, although he and Justin Fields clearly had trouble connecting. Nevertheless, with Garrett Wilson (IR, knee) now sidelined for at least three more games, Mitchell should have plenty of opportunities to build a rapport with whoever is under center between Fields and Tyrod Taylor for New York over the next several contests.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Set to debut with Jets
Mitchell is active for Thursday night's game against the Patriots.
Mitchell, who the Jets acquired Nov. 4 in a trade with the Colts, was inactive Week 10, but now that he's had some time to get up to speed with his new team's offense, the 2024 second-rounder will be among the pass catchers that will be tasked with helping to fill the void created by top WR Garrett Wilson (knee) having been placed on IR on Thursday. In his debut with New York, Mitchell profiles as a speculative lineup option, but down the road he could earn a key role in the Jets offense and in turn merit fantasy consideration.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Won't make team debut Sunday
Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Though he could have a chance to carve out a meaningful role in the second half of the season in a Jets receiving corps lacking in quality options beyond No. 1 wideout Garrett Wilson, Mitchell will get more time to get up to speed with a new playbook after he was acquired from the Colts on Tuesday as part of the deal that sent star cornerback Sauce Gardner to Indianapolis. With the Jets making both Mitchell and Allen Lazard healthy inactives for Week 10, the team will be left with Wilson, Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith, John Metchie and Isaiah Williams as its available receivers.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Coach doesn't reveal Week 10 status
Head coach Aaron Glenn was non-committal Friday on whether Mitchell will be available for Sunday's game against the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Mitchell was acquired in a trade from the Colts on Tuesday, so he's still familiarizing himself with the Jets' playbook. Glenn referred to Mitchell as "a true X" receiver, suggesting that Mitchell's playing time will come on the outside if he suits up for his Jets debut in a receiving corps that's expected to welcome back top option Garrett Wilson (knee) against the Browns.

Jets' Adonai Mitchell: Part of Gardner trade with Jets
The Colts traded Mitchell and two first-round picks to the Jets for CB Sauce Gardner on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Indianapolis invested a second-round pick in Mitchell in the 2024 Draft, but he wasn't able to make much of an impact, as the wide receiver totaled 32 catches on 71 targets for 464 yards and no touchdowns in 25 games through one-and-a-half seasons. In the move to New York, he'll join a receiving corps that lacks depth behind Garrett Wilson (knee), giving Mitchell a second chance to justify the draft capital used on him. If Wilson is still limited coming out of the Jets' Week 9 bye, Mitchell could get an opportunity to contribute right away.
