Cowboys' Tyler Johnson: Staying in Dallas
The Cowboys signed Johnson to a one-year deal Monday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Johnson played in 12 games for the Jets in 2025, catching 12 balls for 197 yards and one touchdown. The addition of Marquez Valdes-Scantling means there is yet another wide receiver Johnson will need to outperform in training camp to remain on the active roster. If the 27-year-old can win a role, he likely will maintain his 2025 production level.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Finishes with 12 catches in 2025
Johnson caught 12 of 18 targets for 197 yards and one touchdown in 12 appearances during the 2025 season.
Johnson briefly stepped up while the Jets dealt with numerous injuries at wide receiver, leading the team in receiving yards in Week 7 and Week 8 while reaching 60 receiving yards in both games. He had just two catches for 10 yards after the Week 9 bye, though, as Johnson dropped down the depth chart following the team's trades for wide receivers Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie. The 27-year-old Johnson will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and will likely have to compete for a roster spot in training camp somewhere.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: One catch in Week 16
Johnson caught his lone target for seven yards during Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints.
After being a healthy scratch in the Jets' last two contests, Johnson played nine offensive snaps during Sunday's loss. In 11 games this season, the Minnesota product has caught 11 of 17 targets for 194 yards and a touchdown. He's expected to remain a minimal portion of the Jets' offensive game plan in the Week 17 matchup against the Patriots.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Healthy scratch vs. Jacksonville
Johnson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Johnson will be a healthy scratch for the third time in four games. The Jets will roll with John Metchie, Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, Allen Lazard and Arian Smith as the active wide receivers for Sunday's contest. Johnson's next chance to play is Week 16 against the Saints on Sunday, Dec. 21.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Healthy inactive for Week 14
Johnson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Miami, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson will be a healthy scratch for the second time in the Jets' last three games despite the absences of Josh Reynolds (hip - IR) and Garrett Wilson (knee - IR). John Metchie, Adonai Mitchell, Allen Lazard, running back Breece Hall and rookie tight Mason Taylor will serve as Tyrod Taylor's top pass catchers for Sunday's AFC East tilt. Johnson's next opportunity to play is Week 15 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Healthy scratch Week 12
Johnson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Johnson didn't receive a target the past two games and will now be a healthy scratch for Sunday's matchup in Baltimore. Arian Smith and Allen Lazard are poised to operate as the Jets' depth wideouts behind Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie and Isaiah Williams.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: No targets in Week 11
Johnson wasn't targeted in Thursday's 27-14 loss to the Patriots.
Johnson reached 60 receiving yards in both of the previous games the Jets played without Garrett Wilson (knee), but those came before the team added John Metchie and Adonai Mitchell via trade. Mitchell and Metchie combined for four of the five catches by Jets wide receivers in Thursday's loss. Johnson was on the field for 53 percent of snaps on offense, but given Justin Fields' inability to consistently complete passes to wide receivers coupled with the increased competition for targets at the position, Johnson's fantasy appeal is limited heading into a Week 12 trip to Baltimore.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Cools off after bye
Johnson didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Browns.
Johnson led the Jets in receiving yards each of their previous two games but was a non-factor in Sunday's unusual win, which was fueled by a pair of touchdowns on special teams. Garrett Wilson (knee) departed the game in his return from a two-game absence, and Wilson could join Josh Reynolds (hip) on the sidelines Thursday against the Patriots. That would give Johnson another opportunity to step up in Week 11, though recent additions Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie could also take on bigger roles.

Jets' Tyler Johnson: Scores first TD of season
Johnson caught three of five targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals.
Johnson stepped up in the absences of Garrett Wilson (knee) and Josh Reynolds (IR, hip). The highlight of Johnson's performance was a 15-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. This was the second straight game in which Johnson reached the 60-yard threshold and led the Jets in receiving yards. The Jets may get Wilson back in Week 10 against the Browns following a Week 9 bye, but with Reynolds required to miss at least three more games, Johnson could maintain a solid complementary role.
